1. I actually agree with that assessment of Huckabee...but
I hope the DNC isn't underestimating anyone on the other side...there was a bit of that in 1980 and look what happened...

3. Huckabee is dangerous
Because he seems sensible. He'll be able to convince a lot of people that he's not as crazy as his record shows.

2. I think the Dems should keep quiet about Huckabee
Edited on Tue Dec-11-07 10:36 AM by Bleachers7
He's going to lose women and independents big. I do think he's crazy enough for the republicans to elect. Especially against Rudy McRomney.

5. I agree. Someone like Huckabee could only win if the country was still gung-ho about the war
The only repukes who will have any chance of winning the next election are the ones who will come off as "strong on terrorism". Huckabee has a lot of bullshit, but even his ample amount of bullshit isn't enough to make even his own people think that he has the experience to protect them from the boogy man. That's the only reason the repukes are even considering Gulini. Rudy has them convinced that he'll be the best protector, even though Rudy really knows squat.

8. You got that right
Huckabee is the GOP's worst nightmare. He would lose in a landslide.

4. better to weaken him now
to make sure he stays crippled and remains a southern regional candidate. I don't think anything should be "held back", if we have oppo on him it should get tested now to see the effect on various segments of the electorate. The GOP used the flip-flopper thing on Kerry all year. I think holding oppo back because you "think" it will crush them in November is stupid. They might be ready for it, but most of all it might not be the killer they think it is. Better to get info out now, see what sticks and bring it out nationally again in the fall.

6. The Republican establishment is anxious to get rid
of Huckabee as soon as possible. They are slamming him big in the right wing media. The Drudge story is likely a GOP plant.

7. Drudge is shilling for Romney - the RNC wants a Romney/Obama race
and they use Drudge to spin stories in favor of those two and against everyone else.

Huckabee's got the racist vote locked up. :puke:

You know the world's gone screwy when even Lou Dobbs says that the anti-immigration crowd is full of hypocrites!
