There's only 14 days left until the Iowa Caucus
Edited on Sat Dec-08-07 04:32 PM by Bleachers7
Today is Dec. 8. I think the race will freeze for the most part on Dec. 23 and I think the campaigns know this. Dec. 24 and 25 are lost days. Christmas week will be slow. So is most of Dec. 31 and all of Jan. 1. People go back to work Jan. 2. Whovever can win the next two weeks, can probably win.

5. Interesting
You may be right.

Still, I wonder how many Iowans have yet to decide on a specific candidate. Time's running out, and I'd think most people would have their minds made up by now.

I think you'll see the final movement by Dec. 27.

8. True
This race could turn in many directions, but Obama has to be the favorite.

The thing is that most primary voters aren't as committed those who post at DU. None of the candidates have a great deal of steadfast support. My guess is that the tide will turn dramatically, and one candidate will win rather convincingly.

9. Not as many as you think
I think you might be surprised how many will not make up their minds until the caucus. Most will have an idea and down to a couple.
Families getting together for Christmas will be interesting. I know I'll be sitting with staunch Clinton supporters......a couple Obama supporters......a Richardson.....and several Biden supporters. It will be interesting to say the least.

7. Obama's peaked at the right time
If he manages to make it through the debates unscathed, he'll probably win.

The big story will be the margin and whether HRC or Edwards gets 2nd.

13. I think that's good for Hillary not Obama
IMO Obama does not do as well in the debate format. I feel like the Hillary will *miraculously* get her supporters throughout the audience who will boo anyone who criticizes her. Obama should make a kindergarten joke in the opening. i need to be one of his advisers.lol

14. That would be funny if he did that
I agree with you, he doesn't do well in debates. I can see CNN trying to create some drama with their questions.

10. It's a great point
Not much time left and very hard to see how the basic Big Three narrative changes significantly between here and Jan. 3.
