23. I agree -- if he's going to constantly be accused of being their boy, the least
they could do is cough up some money! Looks like they don't think he can be influenced....

6. The clue is to figure out how much money he has and then figure the percentage,
you can't tell from the total.

8. Last I heard, he has raised a total of 8 million - so if my calculation is correct
(and it's probably not - I suck at math!) It's less than 1%

22. I believe Obama has addressed this general issue
Obama has at one point (and sorry I don't have a link or precise reference) that 'we' (the candidates) are all in the 'muddy water' of corporate donations -- the point is to change the system. Obama has put certain kinds of voluntary restrictions on his own fundraising (as has, I believe, Edwards and some of the others), with sometimes bloggers bickering about the differences between different candidates' standards.

The point about Hillary being an alleged "corporate whore" has more to do not just with her sources of money, (a topic raised in the Oct 30 debate which Bill Richardson then insisted was taboo) but with the interaction between her politics and corporate interests, in the CONTEXT of which we look at donations.

No one has been elected president without some kind of 'interest group' backing, and it is doubtful that, within the foreseeable future, any will.

But if people want to cite this kind of support to show at least the naivity/hypocrisy of some Obama supporters, so be it.
