4. Actually, I think he bashed her
and he's staying true to form. A 'certain' problem with the ladies.

5. You folks are so sadly predictable
Somebody dares to criticize your queen and no matter their background, no matter their good works, no matter what they've said and done in the past, these people are now dead to you, worse than dead. It reminds me of the freepers with their obsessive little lists of which ball players, actors and other public figures that have dared to criticize the president. Same sort of "for us or against us" mentality, black and white thinking with little or no consideration about what the person is saying, nor any consideration for what this person has done.

All that is needed to complete this happy little comparison is somebody stating that they'll never watch a Penn movie again:eyes:

6. not a clinton supporter, but I just don't care for Penn's
blatant sexism. I still like watching him act. As a matter of fact, I don't give a shit what celebrity backs which candidate- but I think it's a lot more effective if they don't bash other candidates, particularly with classic sexiest rhetoric, when they make an endorsement speech.

11. there is a difference between criticism and right-wing talking points
We are all on the same side here. And Clinton has been a tireless advocate for our party and does not deserve the ugly distortions and lies about her. "Poisonous ambition?" That is nothing more than right-wing smear.

12. Yes, but the problem is
Any criticism about Hillary is automatically deemed to be RW talking points by her supporters, just like anybody who criticizes her is automatically a Hillary hater. This has been the pattern here virtually since Hillary announced her candidacy. So much so, I really have started to wonder if "we are all on the same side here" after all.

16. I have not seen that.
I think a debate about the issues is important, but using ugly distortions and lies is useless.

17. Well I have, it is quite common around here
And it is tactics that have been used to silence Hillary critics since the beginning. I agree with you about debating the issues, but it seems as though that is something that many in the Hillary camp don't want to do. Rather they would hurl the insult and the adhominem. Pay attention and you will see this, it is out there and quite common.

18. I will make a deal with you
I will, if you agree to notice that many of the Clinton posts are charged with distortions and name-calling and vitrol. I would argue that it has gotten ugly in response.

9. Jeez...I read that completely differently..
Edited on Sat Dec-08-07 10:33 AM by stillcool47
as in life longevity matters more than anything else. Life is not for living but for continuing. Death should be avoided at any and all costs...and yet no one avoids it. As in "life..is an irrational obsession". Go figure. Maybe if you could provide a link I could see it in context and join in on eviscerating him for making such a statement.

20. the only thing missing is calling him a part of the
liberal Hollywood elite. Then you would not have any discernible difference between HRC supporters on this thread and a Bush supporter on an RW site.

You should be very proud of yourselves.
