1. We should focus our energies on the true enemy, Bush

4. Seriously.
Nader isn't the enemy. Bush is.

14. They won't.
They'd rather "Denounce" with(a big "D") Nader and Dean.

Yet, refuse to look upon their own faces.

Nader isn't the problem.

The DNC could have easily de-fused the Nader issue, by supporting, at least, some Greens for local positions in the country.

EG...Gonzales/Newsome in San Francisco.

But, oh-no....it would be too much for their party "strangle hold".

17. Why in the hell
The DNC could have easily de-fused the Nader issue, by supporting, at least, some Greens for local positions in the country.

Should the DNC be supporting members of an opposing party?

18. Then why would....
The DNC ask for the votes of the "opposing" party?

20. Hmmm. Because they're trying to get elected?
They don't campaign for the Greens for the very same reason that they don't campaign for the Republicans. The DNC is trying to get their own candidates elected. The Greens are their own political party, they're not a wing of the Democratic Party. You might as well be asking why the Republicans don't campaign for the Libertarians.

Proved my point about the "strangle hold" theory.

No matter who your neighbors are, no matter what becomes of your neighborhood....just get ya guy elected.

Sad.

So many ways for the Dems and the Greens to work together.

Party of the "Big Tent"....

NOT!

23. The fact that this even has to be explained to you
Leads me to believe that you need to take a course in political science.

5. He should run at a different time
if he has a problem with the Democratic Party, that's ok. But he needs to realize that if he endangers the defeat of Bush, he is jeopardizing the liberal values that he supposedly holds dear.

12. they'll be some reason
in 2k8 for him not to attempt to correct the dems. not saying he should necessarily run, but I am telling you now, as long as he questions the dem's liberalness, they will try and smear him. even though they are not liberal...

Here at DU, and across the rest of the country. Voters can easily "ignore" him.

9. He should've just stayed home.
There's no business for him to run for president right now. He knows better than this...at least I thought he did. We need to get Bush* out of office.

Thank you, Ralph Nader. You just (possibly) screwed over the Democratic nominee. I hope you're proud. :grr:

11. Nader can do what he wants - but he's been a Kucinich backer
for the whole campaign. I hope he and Dennis don't team up at the end and trawl for indy votes.

22. Not much of Kucinich backer if he's running against him.
I believe DK is more principled than Ralph Nader and would not run such a risk.

we should make him Honorary President...tell him he's always right and that we love him and then send him to his room. :-)

15. Run for Congress!!!!

Quit disrupting elections that you have no chance of winning. Dennis is representing the "green" viewpoint. There is no need for Ralph.

The difference is, that Dennis will GET OUT before the general election and support the Democratic nominee. He DOES realize that there IS a difference between Democrats and Republicans. Even if that difference is a PARTIAL sellout vs a TOTAL sellout.

Dennis can go back to being an effective Congressman and pushing his agenda in the house.

Ralph Nader CAN be an effective elected official in Congress. If it's not to late to run for an office in Connecticut ... he SHOULD do it. I don't like people who want EVERYTHING or nothing. Ralph should be willing to help his country in the Senate or House of Representatives and NOT INSIST on being President.
