Is Donahue for Nadar this time? Donahue's short-lived TV show helped give
"respectability" to Nadar's bid.

Anything from Donahue on this yet?

1. With the Supreme Court up for grabs this time
I have to believe he will have second thoughts. From everything I have heard the greens are less than enthusastic about him this time

3. I think you are correct, here's an article from today
Green candidates say no to Nader

Mt. Morris Twp. - Two Green Party presidential candidates here Saturday had some free advice for Ralph Nader: Just don't do it.

Nader, the party's presidential nominee in 1996 and 2000, is expected to announce today whether he will run for president this year - possibly as an independent candidate.

That could hurt the Green Party and Nader, said David Cobb and Kent Mesplay, both candidates for the party's presidential nomination this year.

"If Ralph Nader gets in as an independent candidate, I will welcome him," Cobb said. "If he's able to get on the ballot, fine. It's another choice for voters.

4. I am a Green in terms of ideals...
And I still chose Gore in 2000.

Nader had the personality of a paranoid skunk. He didn't seem real. Even Gore's personality of "William Shatner on valium" felt more 'real' and he was the type of guy I wanted in. And Bush was a lying deranged shifty-eyed duh-faced idiot from day 1, that was obvious.

As much as I want to, I'm not going to say what would give the Green party the means to have a chance. For I doubt they'd ever change their strategy (which is ridiclous, to say the least). The point here is Nader as a candidate: He looked semi-shady in 2000, and I know damn well he is infinitely worse in 2004. He's not going to get enough votes to become President of the Edgerton Elementary School's Glee Club, let alone anything else. :eyes:

2. Times have changed
Last I recall, Nader didn't start his Dem-bashing pro-repuke talk until after Donahue was cancelled.

Meaning I'd reckon Donahue would hopefully have a different position.

Besides, I find the NBD crowd much more fascinating, if not dangerous. Don't you? Probably more Dean supporters nationwide than there are Greens stupid enough to want to vote for Nader again... A write-in a day and keep * in the WH for 4 more years...
