she's the last one that should be attacking someone else character. I don't think this is wise for Hillary to go there. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/

6. Well. That's why I didn't bother to respond to the post about
Hillary attacking Obama on his character. I think it's pretty funny...and sad at the same time. ;)

That's like bigdarryl attacking Katzenkavalier's character. And btw, when did former President Bill Clinton attack Obama's character?

The inevitability?

Yes, let's talk character. Please.

11. front runners don't go negative....basic rule of campaigning
Edited on Sun Dec-02-07 10:58 PM by earthlover
hillary breaks this rule at her own risk.

Makes he look desperate, running scared. Gives more attention to the challenger, something a front runner would rather monopolize.

I am not impressed with Hillary's campaign strategy. Unless she has internal poll numbers showing she is even worse off than we now can see, it is a tactical blunder to go on the attack of a challenger.

Of course, this is not the first time Hillary did this. Way back in July she called Obama "irresponsible and frankly naive".

She was unable to finish Obama off and seal the deal. Her attacks now are coming off as desperation.

She may cause herself to lose both states now.

12. That is going to backfire in a big way. No one will believe it coming from her mouth
Hillary should have gotten someone else to do her dirty work. Perhaps if she got Julia Roberts or the Pope to make this charge against Obama it would stick. With Hillary doing the attacking it will completely backfire.

19. That's true....kinda makes you wonder what mistakes Hillary would make in the general election
She really is showing sloppy campaigning. We cannot afford this in the general or we would have a President Huckabee.....

14. bigd, why doesn't a quality anti-Hillary post like yours have nearly as many recs as lesser ones get
Here you are, with just as good an anti-Hillary rant as anyone's, and you're only at 5 recommendations...and it's more than 2 hours into your thread. That just aint right.

Are you not on the same email list as all the other ones who vote up each others anti-Hillary posts? Heck, somebody else posted two words, "Hillary sucks", and their thread got over 50 recommendations. There is still time to get the status of this thread up where it belongs if you act right away. I suggest you should think about applying to get onto that list ASAP so your threads can get the proper recognition they deserve!

17. Thanks HRC ...
I needed a good laugh this morning.

Four more years of rehashing the "Clinton Golden Age" after EVERY Clinton press release? Endless replays of old scandals on Fox Noise/CNN? Four more years of "corporations are our friends"?

I don't know if I can take it.

22. won't be four more years of it...she won't win in the general

We are all Democrats. We defended Bill Clinton and Hillary when they were in the White House. We know he shouldn't have been impeached over something that some wives would have castrated Bill for. Sorry for not being politically correct. And this is not an endorsement of Bobbitt.

That being said, I see it all the time the wishful thinking that basically says Hillary is stronger because she has already been criticized a lot so she is better able to withstand it. Well, consider this...

What if....Hillary got the nod, and we have this October surprise. Well, not really a surprise. It is Bill Clinton having another affair.

Well, let's assume it is false and is a Republican plant. We all know the Republicans can get organizations to plant stories like this. And the media buys into it.

Point is...this is going to be believed by lots of people who are on the fence between Hillary and Huckabee. Can any of us NOT see how believable that would be? And how powerless Hillary and Bill would be to defend themselves against such a charge?

Well, folks...when Bill Clinton was impeached for his sexist treatment of Monica and betrayal of Hillary....Bill was a sitting president. People after awhile got pissed off at the charade and Bill's ratings actually improved.

Sorry, but Hillary will not be a sitting president when the shit hits the fan...she will be just a candidate for president. While the American people would not favor impeachment of a sitting president, they might find it easier to just vote for a less controversial candidate for president. Anyone here blind enough to think this would help Hillary against a Republican with a likeable nice guy image?

Sorry folks, but Hillary is poison. This is so obvious a way to swift boat her. And there is nothing we can do about it. Even though each of us in our hearts fears it will happen. And it will. It won't be ethical. It won't be fair. But it won't be ineffective either.

This is just ONE of the many ways the Reps would smack Hillary down.

I am not a follower of Obama, but he has a nice-guy image that could be poison for Huckabee. Give Obama a VP with foreign policy/security experience like Wes Clark (who also happens to be very earnest in demeanor) and Huckabee would be humiliated by the election results. Huckabee would, however, make easy work of Hillary.

Sorry.

and Edwards and now she's striking back, which is what she should do. Politics is not for the faint of heart.

If Obama only wants sweet words, lullabys and pats on the back he needs to change professions. Hillary will call him on his bullshit every chance she gets.
