You know what scares me? The last GOP Debate does!!
Why?

Because the debate didn't consist of one question about healthcare nor energy policy!!

Instead the candidates took a large portion of the time attacking one another, and debating the Bible and other non-issues.

Hell, the contrast between this and the YouTube debate for the Democrats was huge.

What kind of debate has the candidates answer how many guns they have?

What kind of debate has the candidates go back and forth debating whether waterboarding, a form of torture, isn't ACTUALLY torture?

These motherfuckers are scary....

:scared:

Democrats, we better win in 2008!!

The alternative is just too much to handle.

6. Yeah, screw healthcare and energy. Let's talk about the Bible!!
Edited on Sun Dec-02-07 06:31 PM by Kerry2008
47 million really isn't that many people anyway.

Healthcare, who needs it?

We don't need to talk about healthcare, Jesus is more important than saving lives and improving the quality of life for millions.

:sarcasm:

5. Didn't you already start a thread like this, the day after the Puke debate?
Of course that one was framed as "You VILL vote for Hillary, or you VILL be taken to the camps!" so I guess this one is a little bit different?

9. And? I think it's good for DUers to remind others about how scary these bastards are.
We're too busy attacking one another, attacking the candidates, and being bad servants to our own party often times--and we lose sight of what matters!!

I don't know about you, but I'm doing everything I can to prevent President Romney or President McCain from EVER happening.

7. They spent most of the time demonizing others for the problems they created.
From the excerpts I saw from the debate, they demonized Hispanics, gays, and others for problems that the Repugs have helped create. Scape goating another group that is different from you based on their race, gender, ethnicity, or sexual orientation for your own shortcomings is the very definition of racism to me. That is why they scare me.

8. Excuse Me But Do Not Be Scared. The GOP Candidates ...
.
are so far out of the main stream USA, one does not need to worry. _No one_ takes anything they say seriously. Fear not, torture is not an American value. The people will not accept any of the GOP mental midgets who actively advocate torture.

The Democratic Party need only stand for their principles and they win.

13. Then Why Are The Polls So Close?

But they ARE accepting them if the polls are to be believed at all.
A few points ahead at best, and some polls even show our candidates running behind.
This is not good. Not good at all. By even the most optimistic polls we are in trouble.

With the Repiglickins' control of the media, the churches, the voting machinez, and the courts,
we could easily end up with pResident Ghouliani or pResident Hickabee or pResident Mittens.
Even the half-dead Thompson is too close in the polls for comfort.

Damn right I'm scared! :scared:

15. GOP Speak To GOP, Dems Speak To Dems ...
.
The polls are media created for the media's purposes. When the general election comes around, the people will be given a clear choice; pro torture GOP or pro law and order Democratic Party.

I watched it - however. We better stop thinking "It's in the bag." I would like to see the Democratic contenders start speaking NOW about voter fraud. Now. Before it's too late. Let's be the guardians of Democracy - because a lot Republicans either A) Don't believe voter fraud happened, or B) Know it happened - but think it was AOK.

ETA - That's why as wide a margin is a dire need in my book. No 'slight' leads in match ups after March next year.
