roll over. Unless they felt the election would have an impact on their lives personally then they'd just buy beer and chips and watch TV.
PErhaps that is why BushCo was so emphatic about the tax cuts. If people thought they were paying less taxes they wouldn't pay that much attention to the crimes being committed. Seems like it's worked pretty well for BushCo on this.

I do think that the good people in our country would finally raise the alarm, and that the outcome would be different than it has in the past two elections...
Early in the War Between the States, General Lee was having a meeting with Jefferson Davis at the Confederate White House. Davis asked Lee what his plan was if Richmond should fall.
"Richmond must not fall," Lee flatly asserted. That was the plan.
California must have a winner take all slate next year. No "if" plans.
I read on one of the left leaning blogs that the California Secratary of State website says the initiative has been withdrawn. And someone caught some of the initiative backers cheating signatures. Seems to me that is what I read, but what do I know?
Until there's an economic collapse that affects their fat, happy and wasteful lifestyles.
Then they'll be going "why didn't anyone tell us about all of this?"
When that day comes (and it will) hopefully there'll be enough Mme Defarges out there to point the finger squarely at the corporate media- and NOT just the faces on TV.
