Gotta share this, more of that gop compassion.
Edited on Thu Nov-29-07 02:54 PM by chimpsrsmarter
I go to my local Bel-air (supermarket) today and i get what i need and head to the register, so behind me was this Dad with 2 small children, he had a bag from the pharmacy in his hand and one of his children was crying a little bit and tugging her ears so i'm thinking ear infection, meds are probably for the girl so i say to him "Please go ahead of me" and says are you sure and so on and i tell him to go ahead and he says thank you and so on and confirms said child does indeed have an ear infection and he really wants to get her home--understandably. Ok so behind him i hear this really loud "Hhhhhhhhhhh" sigh, you know the one, like someone is letting the air out of a gigantic tire? I then hear "Were you going to let everybody else go in front of you too" really pissy. "we're you speaking to me Ma'am?" "Yes, i have things to do too!" "Well ok, he was in front of you and i let him go in front of me, you still have the same position in line so what exactly is the problem?" "Well your talking to him was taking up time" "Oh, i didn't realize my speaking was impeding the cashiers ability to ring up his stuff, oh wait, it didn't" and then she just starts getting all harrumphy and making sounds and then i spot her the top of her tshirt and i say "I'm really sorry you're an unhappy person but seeing as you vote for Lungren it all makes sense now, well you have a wonderful Holiday season and a blessed day!" I know the cashier and i thought she was going to fall over and that woman, i thought her head was going to come off. Only a republican could begrudge a person trying to get their sick home.

edited to add Lungrens voting record.

1. Oh, this sounds so familiar
What is with some of these people in supermarket lines? I've heard stories like this, the passive-aggressive groans and sighs.

And YES I think it's an outcome of the Republican rule we've had for the past 7 years. There seems to be a lot less compassion and more meanness out there---the entitlement mentality.

Good for you for not taking sh-- from the old curmudgeon.

Was she wearing chunky gold jewelry and rhinestone sandals? I think I bumped into her sister this morning at Albertsons.

6. No, she's the one built like a brick wall
and jowly, wearing a sweatshire and sweatpants.

5. That was very thoughtful of you.
I'm unfortunately among Mr. Lundgren's constituents. He made a stir in the recent past when a pro-oil-drilling letter he sent out seemed to indicate that the Iraq invasion was actually about oil. I think the GOP wasn't planning to let that out...

10. she made no sense at all, i should have let her go in front of me as well
and then i could have made all kinds of noises behind her and then stopped when she looked at me and then restart when she looked away.
