Poll question: Would you participate in a Nader Trader system?
And can a Nader Trader system work?

How can there be verified voting for Nader Trader?

http://www.fairvote.org/plurality/nader.htm

"This remarkable numerical closeness lent “spoiler” power to any third party with the numbers to tip the balance – in which the two party, winner-take-all electoral system currently causes votes to contribute to the major party less aligned with the voter’s preferences. For example, progressive Green Party candidate Ralph Nader attracted media attention in the final weeks of the campaign as he refused to encourage his supporters to vote for Gore and instead campaigned in several of the most hotly contested states.

In the last month of the campaign, “Nader Trader” websites sprang up to arrange vote trades - a Nader supporters would pledge to cast their votes for Democrat Gore in states where the presidential race was expected to be close, and in exchange, a Democrat would agree to vote for Nader in states where Bush was expected to win. Not sanctioned by the campaigns, the exchanges were designed to help Gore in swing states and give the Green Party the 5 percent of the national vote it needed to win federal campaign money. In the end, however, neither side got its way. Nader polled less than 3% of the popular vote and did win enough votes in Florida and New Hampshire to tip them toward George Bush. The Florida 547-vote margin was so close that Nader's 97,488 votes obviously would have tipped the difference, while Nader's 22,188 votes in New Hampshire far outstripped the 7,211 votes separating state winner Bush from Gore."

1. Fuck no...
...it gives legitimacy to these Nader wackos.

Nader is NOT a good American... comparing him to Kucinich is an extreme insult to Kucinich.

Nader is an egomaniac who sold out his country and gave us the Bush administration.

Fuck him, and fuck his supporters.

And.. give me a strike for using the word "fuck". I don't care.

Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck

6. I believe that the Nader trader sites were supposed to...
...end up making the Green Party eligible for some kind of federal election benefits or something, if they were to get a certain percentage of the vote. This would not be the case with Nader running as an independant, as the rumor is he might in this election...which is one of the reasons I'm like why?

7. Won't work.
I've seen pukes talking about pretending to be Nader supporters in contested states...Promising to vote for Nader but really voting for Bush (Of course). Then you, a Kerry supporter, trades your vote and votes for Nader, thus giving him a chance at the 5% threshhold for National matching funds.

It's a VERY bad idea.

10. why is that a problem?
If a freeper in Florida lies and says they will vote for Nader it changes nothing he or she would have voted for Bush anyway. The only change is the vote of the other party in a safe state like New York or Illinois.

8. No, because
the freepers have said that they plan to exploit that system, and I believe they will.

I also will not do anything to enable that Bush enabler. And I voted for him in 2000.:spank:

11. I wouldn't think trading would be an issue
Nader will not be the Green Party candidate as he was in 2000. So why would we trade votes at all?
