Poll question: Kucinich Supporters: Is it time to jump ship?
Edited on Wed Nov-28-07 05:12 PM by Bleachers7
We officially know Kucinich is considering Ron Paul for VP. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x3767654

Is it time to jump ship?

Please leave the voting to Kucinich supporters

1. If he chooses Paul I would be profoundly disappointed
I would probably end up staying home on primary day. :(

2. He probably won't pick anyone before primary day.
And Paul said he wouldn't do it anyway.

12. It really disturbs me that he's even considering it
Paul is a racist fruit loop of the first order. Yes it's good that he's against the war but too many people (including good, progressive Dems) seem to not see beyond that.

3. YES! NO RON PAUL!
Well, Kucinich was never my 1st pick anyway, but this just... just... wow. What a bad, bad, bad idea on his part.

9. More credible than him saying it himself?
How much more credible does it need to be? There is a recording there. Follow the link.

5. Nope
The question was in regards to either a cabinet or a Veep spot. The plain Dealer got caught in a HUGE lie on that one. They claimed it was for a Veep spot and left out the cabinet position.

The audio on that tape sucked and I could barely make out the beginning of the question.

Funny how no one is suggesting Jumping ship on Hillary over Powell.

Not to mention that the others in the race have triangualted FAR worse than this.

14. You're going to make yourself dizzy.

From spinning so fast. The audio is clear and here is what he said.

Kucinich says: I'll tell you who I'm thinking about. I'm thinking about Ron Paul.

He goes on to say: "Think about how we can unite the country. You know, having a Democrat and a Republican on the ticket."

So tell me. Where is the lie?

19. That's called a hypothetical statement
If he actually does it that will be a different story.

The question was CABINET or VEEP.

Not just VEEP.

And our friend from the PD did blow a lot of quotes. Especially the one about "balancing the energies of this country".

15. So what do you think about Dennis' idea to have Ron Paul as VP?
Is it a good one?

6. I don't think *considering* it will be a dealbreaker for too many folks.
He may lose a few points with some people, but it's not anything but a consideration - and doesn't even sound like much of that.

I didn't vote, btw.

17. "Considering" is not the same as "named"
Unless Paul is named as his running-mate, Kucinich is still my hands-down favorite.

18. I still support his candidacy. But, not for President.
I still will support and defend him. In spite of the fact that he apparently sees Paul as an acceptable VP. I am far more dissatisfied with actions/votes/rhetoric with other candidates.

I want him in the campaign, I want him to get attention. I want him to continue to hold the others to a higher level.

I will not be voting for him. Paul is a deal breaker. Colin Powell is a deal breaker, too.

Kucinich knows his chance of being the nominee as well as anyone else. His run has always been about truth and defending democracy, not necessarily about being the nominee. Dennis wins every time he speaks truth to power.

Just, please, Dennis, PLEASE, DO NOT CONSIDER A THIRD PARTY RUN. With Paul or anyone else.

A Democrat must sit in the WH in 2009.

20. I've sent all the Dem candidates my meager pittance $. Let's have a primary season,
such as it is. Every candidate's going to take some lumps, stumble, make some points, and hopefully make a case for our vote. Or not.

That's my take.

21. This question keeps gettang asked...
...in different and not so clever ways. I suspect (in fact I'm almost certain) it's supporters of the front-runners trying to count votes they don't have yet. But my answer every time has been, and shall be:

I'll support DK all the way up to and through the primaries. If he's the candidate after that, he's my man. If not, I'll vote for whoever's the Democratic candidate in the General Election.

I have no second choice.
