Rush Limbaugh- "Zogby's My Favorite Pollster"
Rush Limbaugh bestowed on Zogby the "my favorite pollster" mantle, a kind of calling card for use among political conservatives. By October of 1998, Zogby had reiterated in National Review his findings about the public's opinion of the Lewinsky affair. That year Zogby also did some 60 polls for the Republican Congressional Committee. It's no wonder that many today still think he's a Republican pollster.

1. I thought Repukes ignored polls.
:eyes:

I wonder what Repuke poll respondents think about his $24,000,000 mansion in Palm Beach?

2. In The Interest Of Full Disclosure Zogby Is Now On OxyRush's Shit List
Because his polls like everybody else's polls show Bush*'s favorable ratings in the dumpers...

7. Congress Is An Institution That Is Almost Half (R)
When people say the president is doing a lousy job they are saying that the man or woman who holds the position is doing a lousy job...

Back to Zogby... I don't really think he's a Rethuglican... I do think some of his polls are sloppy and he tries to word his questions to get the results the people who paid for the poll want or what he wants...

As a social scientist I believe inquiry should be unbiased but we are all free to make our own inferences and recommendations based on those inquiries...

6. Thanks for the encouragement but i've already read that five year-old piece.

I'm not defending Zogby's methodology (which is about as "creative" as Rasmussen's "robo calls) but was merely reflecting on the severe credibility gap in the Clinton campaign.

11. The Thing About Robocalling Is It's Cheap
That's why he can update his poll every day... His polls seem accurate... They do seem to have a bit of a GOP bias...

I wish I could make money doing polling... Not calling but orchestrating the polls; finding callers, getting the results tabulated, etcetera...

13. I Just Said Rush Used To Like Zogby
I think some of Zogby's polls are sloppy... I think he has an agenda...I think his interactive, non probability polls are not rooted in science...But I don't know if he's any of those other negative things...

14. Amazing how polls mean nothing to these people unless they
Edited on Wed Nov-28-07 10:27 AM by rasputin1952
prop up their own sick ideolgies.

For a long time all we heard was how bush was so popular, "95, 93, 97, 87%", all were bushe's "high" ratings, and th e R's loved the polls.

Lately, w/bush et al looking like they are at the bottom of a well, it's the "polls mean nothing" amntra all over again.

I recall reading a poll a couple of years back where 82% of th people who heard Rush Limbaugh thought he was a a complete jerk and a lies through his teeth. Meh, we all knew that anyway...:)

15. As Long As A Poll Is Conducted Properly I Am Compelled To Accept The Results
Edited on Wed Nov-28-07 10:33 AM by DemocratSinceBirth
Just as I would accept the results of any scientific investigation... But the poll is only relevant to the time period it was taken...

Bush*'s popularity was high in the days after 9-11 but that was before he jumped the shark...

18. Not sure...before 9-11, he was pretty unpopular...
he was seen as a dolt, and someone who was going to be less than beneficial to the nation as a whole.
fter 9-11, he showed just how stupid he really could be, w/the "Axis of Evil" stuff, the breakdown of ties with historic allies, the alienation of virtually every nation on the planet, the disatrous way he just dumped the compassion from the rest of the world...the list goes on.

Rarely, in the history of leadership roles, has anyone proven so incrediboy inept. I am amazed to see just how stupid this man actually is.

And yet, tehre are some out there that say his stupidity is "just an act, he's as wliey as a fox". No, he is just an arrogant moron, and like everything else in his life, his presidency will be seen as a failure.
