The poll that really counts. Reading the analysis is mandatory.
Time for this election year reminder:

"One of the ways in which elected representatives are curbed and
controlled is through a never-ending process of phoney elections. They
are called opinion polls. Presented as an expression of the popular
will and thus an expression of democracy itself, they serve the
opposite purpose. They are a method of control.

Opinion polls are artificial news events, easily manipulated, yet are
treated with reverence in Media World, which is not surprising
considering they are a creation of the media and a means of extending
its power."

1. Been saying that for the longest time.....
Kind of makes you wonder what percentage of the Amurikan peoples actually believe Saddam is responsible for 9/11: 30%? 70%? At 40% it's already frightening, but would they skew the numbers lower or higher and for what reason(s)? Do we even want to know?

4. BINGO
I took a class on polls in college and by the end of it became convinced how easily they can be manipulated and hyped away from the truth.

5. Yet people still believe in them as if they are news.
Considering most news is hyped facts (maybe without the facts sometimes) they become like cheerleaders for whoever pays for them.

7. The main media outlets use polling because it is an easy story...
But we here at DU looked at the polling data leading up to the 2004 election and cried foul when the polling numbers didn't match with the numbers of votes...

You can't really have it both ways...

Either polling is valid or it is not...

8. I don't want it both ways.
I don't give polls during campaigns any weight, and get tired of having polling numbers posted continuously as if they mean something.

10. Your tagline reminded me of how much I liked your tagline!
Polls are fake elections. It's that simple. They are also fake news. They are foreplay for the feeble minded.
