Question: Is Nader running or not?
I haven't seen any news reports saying that he is running.

Has he actually announced or are people speculating here?

I can't imagine Ralph Nader would be so stupid. I can't imagine left-leaning Democrats would be so stupid.

I mean after all that has happened.

I imagine some people see this as payback for their candidate losing in the primaries. But Jeez, Louise. Making Bush President again? You can live with that?

I imagine the Republicans will be celebrating at this news. I can see Bill O'Reilly, Tucker Carleson, and other wingnuts just gloating.

I can't imagine a dumber move by the Green Party than nominating that ego-obsessed animal again. Isn't the goal of the Green Party to TRY to win over Democrats? Or left-of-center supporters?

I see this as an alienating move.

1. News reports have said that he will announce that he is
running on Meet The Press tomorrow.

He's running as an independent, not as a Green.

5. I sure as hell hope so
Because that means that all is not lost.

Because that means that the Democratic party suddenly has to work for some votes.

Because that means ABB is shown to be the disgusting mantra that it is.

Because that means the leader of the Democratic party who told liberals to sit the hell down, and shut the hell up has a whole new ballgame on his hands.

Because that means people across this country will be forced to hear the failings of a failed party - the Democrats.

Oh hell, yes - RUN Ralph RUN. Nothing upsets the Democrats more than hearing the truth of their failures.

I won't be voting for Ralph - Dean still gets my vote - but I will so enjoy the ensuing circus that is sure to follow.

8. God,
I'm so sick of hearing about all the Democratic party's failures. Because the party isn't perfect you want to punish all of us. This is just like 2000. The 'holier-than-thou's are coming out in force with the Nader run.

12. Agree on all counts.
Dean gets my vote, but I welcome the dialogue that Nader will bring, now that one of our best voices has been quieted by the DNC/DLC. I am not looking forward to listening to Bush and Kerry trying to out do each other with Patriotism, Iraq war and VN war for the next 8 months. :puke:

7. He won't go on MTP to say he's not running
He would simply put the rumors to bed with a press release.

11. Saddened Dem
You seem almost giddy at the prospects of our master the Emperor George Bush II being reselected to another term.

It sickens me really.

10. I share your pain.
Unfortunately Ralph Nader, a Fox News regular since 2000 and a friend of Grover Norquist, is reported to have said that he will announce his candidacy tomorrow. I can't wait until he gets the "American's for Tax Reform" endorsement.
