Where do you guys obtain your news and information on a daily basis?
I thought this would be an interesting thread.. Just where do you go for your political or simply international news on the typical day?
On the typical day, I rely on a few main sources

-The New York Times (religiously)
-Democracy Now (Video Podcast)
-NPR Radio

Monthly/weekly
-Keith O, Real Time with Bill Maher,
-The Nation
-Foreign Affairs
-Foreign Policy Magazine

2. I avoid those sources
I focus on DU, Talking Points Memo, Firedoglake and ... well, that's about it! If I look at the NYTimes, it's usually not for news, but instead for "fluff" (Arts & Entertainment, etc) But not "hard news".

3. I don't trust NPR like I used to
AAR as much as I can, some NPR, believe it or not some Limbaugh/Hannity (curious what they are shilling) and of course the blogs DU, DailyKos, TPM and some firedoglake. Try to catch DN! and KO as I can but anymore getting hard to do.

4. neat list, but NPR has turned a gnu lief.
I still put it on, but am more willing than ever to flip it off.

the nation
BBC online
the guardian, pravda, Al jazeera, J-Post (for ME issues), then a series of moderate and liberal sites with news outlets.
As for paper, the trib, suntimes, Daily southtown, and the NYT.

and there are always a few odd places I check out. I simply cannot trust local boredcasts, nor Cable gnus for information or background.

10. CSPAN- seriously
In addition to their other stuff (fantastically unedited), I'm a religious Washington Journal watcher and the host reads articles from all sorts of news sources each morning. It's a great program to get an in-depth view of a given topic, and it's especially interesting to hear views from all sides. I don't have to watch Fox, I can practically tell you what Bill-O is spewing, based on the comments from republican callers.

I also read my local paper and check in at CapitalNews.org (a CSPAN offshoot) every day. And I visit DU, of course. :hi:
