It's been pretty relentless for the past month.

Makes you wonder who's zoomin' who.

1. When the Oprah endorsement counts more than experience, the MSM has won.
The MSM has always hated the Clintons. Always have. Always will.

11. And did you complain? What's your point? I asked what experience you're talking about.
Not to mention that Oprah chose not to endorse her good friend Hillary.

13. Experience:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Experience

Experience as a general concept comprises knowledge of or skill in or observation of some thing or some event gained through involvement in or exposure to that thing or event. The history of the word experience aligns it closely with the concept of experiment.

The concept of experience generally refers to know-how or procedural knowledge, rather than propositional knowledge.

She has experience. Obama has a talk-show host endorsement. The endorsement is valued higher than experience by the MSM, and especially by his fans who mock experience.

19. Obama has over 20 years of experience that the MSM never talks about
Edited on Mon Nov-26-07 07:54 PM by jenmito
yet the MSM DOES talk about Hillary being experienced even though we can't see what that experience IS since they won't release that info. And I asked you what experience SHE has...not the definition of the word.

3. Hmmmm, seems to me there was this little debate in Las Vegas two weeks ago
that totally debunks your post. You know, the one with the Hill-friendly moderator, the stacked audience and the objective post-debate analysis by present and former Clintonites.

9. Exactly. The media coronated her until SHE messed up and then when she "did well" in the
CNN LV debate, the media was saying she "got her mojo back," "that's why the lady is a champ," "she righted her wrong," "Obama's answer sounded as convoluted as Hillary's did the last debate," etc. Everything the MSM has reported was brought on by Hillary herself.

4. The media wants a horse race. A true front runner makes for lower ratings.

5. That's cause they know Obama would never ever get the nomination
so they want to pretend. Hillary will have a hard enough time being a woman, but do you really truly think the country would accept Obama. He made me so mad. If he had only waited by the time he would have then run next time, he would have been accepted. But after you run and loose people think of you as that, a looser. Look at John Edwards. He would make the very best president. But the American people in their mind consider him a looser. And they won't support him.

12. The MSM declared Hillary the winner of a debate she came nowhere near winning
Whatever bad press she is getting now is coming from the grassroots backlash against the media for spending months shoving Hillary down our collective throats.

for good.

I guess the real Hillary is starting to show. It's pretty ugly.

16. it's pretty ugly indeed. And if you can't see that they're both doing
in equal parts, you're so blinded by partisanship, as to lose any credibility about Obama or Clinton.

21. They're all going after each other.
Moreso between Hillary and Obama because they're the front runners. This is all politics, pure and simple.

It's going to get worse the closer to election time.

22. Since I don't read Drudge and don't
Edited on Mon Nov-26-07 08:12 PM by Andromeda
take him seriously as a journalist, I couldn't give an opinion one way or another about his trashing Hillary more, as compared to Obama. I do know that Hillary has received more bad press for a longer period of time, especially by right-wing fundies.

What bothers me is the trashing she's getting now from the left (you could argue that Obama is being trashed too I suppose) and how relentless they seem to be.

The danger of some of these attacks is that a lot of it comes from Republican memes from waaaay back when Bill was president and they've continued and gained in momentum by the constant haranguing by the Republicans and the far-left.

She'll survive the whole thing and come out relatively unscathed in the long run because she's tough and has had more experience in battle than Mr. Obama.

Obama is a media creation. The MSM is making Obama into a rock star and is even more heated since Oprah has joined his campaign. Oprah is probably a nice lady but I don't think she's going to change any minds particularly deeply entrenched loyalties for any one of the other candidates.

If there's an upward shift of Edwards, Dodd, Richardson, etc., the media will continue their shenanigans. Nothing ever stays the same and people here at DU should be mindful of that. Your candidate might be hot now but could rapidly cool off.
