If the Democrats mess up again, they won't win. No one will trust a moderate Democrat again. But this ticket just might be the end of the stronghold the two major parties have on the voting system. I don't know that either candidate would go for it though. DK is pretty loyal to the Democratic Party. So it's pretty unlikely. But it is something to think about.

Picture this: Dennis Kucinich as the Presidential candidate and Ron Paul (a Republican who regularly stands up against the Republican agenda on matters involving civil liberties)as the vice presidential candidate. The ticket would have the backing of both Democrats and Republicans who are fed up with business as usual.

The whole idea of these two running together seems pretty meaningless, but this person proposes it as a way of destroying the Democratic Party. One wonders if the idea makes any political sense to the people pushing it, or if they just wanna pull off something attention-getting and different no matter what it would actually do to the country.

Also interesting is that it was proposed by someone who has been tombstoned.

1. If the Democratic Party is to face destruction
it will be a case of self destruction IMO. I would not try to pin it on a party member that is true to the American people. Kucinich has a clean powerful record of voting for the people, unlike some of our 'stronger' democrats. If the Democrats are not smart enough to select a candidate that stands for the people and our Constitution and decide to run a corporate ambassador then to me the party has made its choice. If he were to decide to run as some Independent candidate with a mate of his choosing what is that to us?

2. If the Democrats are not smart enough to "select"?
Hello? There's a primary going on? Hello?

If Dennis Kucinich does not get the nomination, it will have been because people did not vote for him.
