Hilarious Republican's Letter to the Editor
Here is a letter written to the Harrisburg Patriot News in PA that will give you some insight to what we liberals have to contend with in this part of the state.

"When Democrats target the "wealthy" (that is, anybody who earns $1 more than they do) through increased taxes to fund ever-expanding government programs, they claim it is justifiable because the wealthy don't pay their fair share of taxes (and let's be honest, can they ever pay enough?).

This despite the fact the top 5% of wage earners provided 56 percent of all IRS revenue in 2000.

Well, here's a news flash. Those of you who want to soak the rich are the wealthy ones compared to the rest of the world.

If you earn $25,000 a year, you are the top 5% of worldwide wage earners. Now you get to pay your fair for fossil fuels in a worldwide economy."

Now here comes the good part;

"So how does it feel? Are you and the Hillary and Barack supporters, both of whom have targeted the top earners for tax increases, cheering now? Becoming the hunted rather than the hunter isn't all that much fun, now is it?"

There's so much plain stupidity in that letter, I don't even know how to respond. Where do they come up with this crap?

1. Just think--the editor at that "newspaper" allowed that to be printed.
A high school english student would get a barely passing grade for that "composition".

5. I agree
That's incoherent. Most papers wouldn't even allow this.

3. Last time I checked
we we're taxing the rich in the rest of the world. And if Mr. Conservative Idiot did his homework he would know that Americans pay far less in taxes than those in other first world countries.

This isn't about the rest of the world. It's about taking care of the people in our own country. Mr. Conservative Idiot probably isn't complaining about the billions going to the reconstruction in Iraq (which was supposed to be paid for by the oil revenue.

And last I heard, Clinton and Obama weren't talking about raising taxes on those making $25,000 a year.
