re: the very hardened attitudes towards the Dem Candidates

As one who comes from a state that will have its caucus well after all is said and done and the nominee essentially anointed (from all predictions), I'm keeping an open mind to the candidates. Sure, I have my favorites-- yes favorite(s-- but I keep noticing some of the most adamant and hardened attitudes are coming from DUers in states, who, like me, won't likely be making the decision.

I'm not saying I like this, but it is the fact. So, how to explain some of the rancor vis-a-vis the candidates? Thoughts, anyone?

1. Same shit, different election!

This is a pattern; with people spitting into camps, and some of them getting shitty, shirty, mean and nasty, picky and childish, while others try to stay above the fray or discuss the issues in reasoned tones (sometimes getting beaten up by the uber-advocates).

It's a pattern. Like team sports--yer either with 'em, or agin' 'em. Rah, rah, yay team!

People will get over it, they always do.

You learn a lot about how people conduct themselves as a result of their advocacy, though--some of 'em ain't all that nice...
