1. You know..
it's sad that at a website called 'Democratic Underground,' there is felt a need to ask this question. Sickening.

2. There IS a need.
Edited on Sat Feb-21-04 03:35 PM by Darth_Ole
I want a liberal to win. If it happens to be Nader, so be it. Just b/c I'm a Democrat doesn't mean I have to support it all the time. That's what's really sickening.. the notion that we are locked with what only a small portion of the country voted for.

3. Concur - It's like freerepublic.com asking do want 'W' to win?
Why bother posting on DEMOCRATICunderground.com if you are going to ask such lame questions? Go find another site like www.bushandthedemsthereallthesame.com

8. The paradox of Liberalism may be found in the fact that...
...our willingness to thoughtfully consider all points of view, our resistance to lockstep ideology, is our greatest strength and our greatest weakness, all at once.

6. I want a DEMOCRAT to be nominated
And a DLC Bonesman corporatist who has voted in lock step with the Bush Criminal Empire's agenda is no Democrat.

11. Then I suggest you do all you can to ensure a Democrat is nominated
And BTW, that empty suit PNAC'er voted to confirm Fat Tony Scalia's nomination to the Supreme Court.

7.  Results is what matters.
A Democrat who does not tout universal health care is not a Democrat.
Kerry's solution is not workable. I want the Democratic nominee to address the issues of job losses and healthcare. That is what I expect. I want the Democrat to win. But to get me excited about the campaign, I demand some reason for my excitement. I will vote for the nominee, but my response depends upon more than just glossy rhetoric. Results is what matters.
Kerry's comments about the anti-war voters need get over it,does little to stir me out of my apathy. Should this country continue spending One Billion a week on Iraq and Afghanistan and blow $500 billion annually on the military, there will be no progress made to make this a more liveable country.

9. Duh. I'm sorry.
I think this is an intellectually challenged poll.

And I think it is inflammatory. If you want people to vote for the democrat, you don't support a continuous mantra of "we've decided for you, so stfu and suck it up," or "if you don't join what we've decided for you, you like Bush," or any other such crap. If you want people to focus on getting Bush out of office, you quit shoving the cesspool in this joke of a primary in their face. You back off and treat them like intelligent people able to make intelligent decisions without you prodding them. Or, maybe not. Maybe it's a better idea to alienate them beyond recovery. :eyes:

19. I'll be glad when we have the nominee
Edited on Sat Feb-21-04 05:44 PM by MaineDem
And we can concentrate on getting him elected and not have all these polls and discussions.

That's what's vitally important.

I think it's time for me to leave this forum until then.
