Poll question: Which candidate do you consider to be the most electable? (General Election)
Edited on Sun Nov-25-07 11:58 PM by Steely_Dan
"Electable" may mean different things to different people. Some might say...I would vote for "X" candidate, but I just don't think he/she has a chance. So I'm voting for "Y." In this case, "X" is considered less electable than "Y" by this DUer. So...which candidate do you consider the most electable?

-P

If this poll was done in the past...my apologies.

1. If Joe can get the traction necessary by winning in Iowa, I think
ANY Pub would be a dead dog in the middle of the road! He'd run right over any of their guys!

2. Biden. Put him up against any Rep in a debate and he'd eat 'em up and spit 'em out.
Not only that, I think a lot of unhappy R's would come over to vote for Biden once they heard what he had to say, and his experience of working well with both the Dems and R's.

5. Unhappy R here and my first choice is Hillary.
I come from a family of unhappy R's and they like her too.

6. Lotta R's say that.....

....in the attempt to sway public opinion.

Sheeyat, can you blame them?!? Total wet dream for the "Republic Party" if she's the nominee.

Then again, lotta DLC types like her and the Terry McAwful types that hang with her too..

8. Actually, that's not quite correct.
Many Republicans are very scared of her running because she is getting support from ex R's like myself and family.

I plan to campaign for her in Arizona. I think this state might go blue this election.

I am a recovering, former, ex Republican.

Oh, and I will support the Democratic nominee.

May the best person win!

We liberals are a pretty inviting group.

And may I introduce you to my pick?

And good luck to whoever you support.

3. That just felt wrong in so many ways...
I had to vote on "electability" for someone I don't think is the best choice for the country.

Nevertheless, I'll be behind the Democratic nominee 100%, whomever it is.

Well. Let's just put it this way....

If we each had a buck for every time this poll was on here, we'd all be retired and living on a Carribean Island.

This place is used to familiar polls though!

18. Right now, any one of them is "electable"
Not a single vote has been cast for anybody. There are no front-runners regardless of what the media whores tell you.

I'm voting for what America once was and can be again. I'm voting for Kucinich.

21. Most electable? Honestly? Huckabee.
The way we fight around here, that's the honest answer as I see it. Not elected by us, but in fucking spite of us.

25. Oh definitely "poster". Bush is the least religious president in history.

Just ask David Kuo, the former Whitehouse Faith Based Initiative Director who resigned in disgust when he learned that the program was a complete sham.

22. What makes anyone electable???
I voted for Edwards, because I will vote for Edwards in the primary. His plans for healthcare, education, anti-war policy, and his willingness to admit he made a mistake are important factors in a candidate.

What will make anyone of the Democrats electable is to win one of the first three primaries. Whoever wins Iowa will catapult to the top (Most electable). New Hampshire will either cement the lead or show an electable rival. If anyone wins Iowa and New Hampshire, they will be tough to beat. Win Nevada and it may not be possible to hold that person back.

If I base electability on the National Polls, its Hillary all the way. If I look at Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada, the Crystal ball suffers white out. So I go with my gut.
