1. And he supports jailing medicinal marijuana users too
Would the prison population grow to over 3 million under a Romney presidency?

9. So it sounds like he's not that concerned about the deficit either
Incarcerating people is very expensive.

2. Abortion is legal and will remain so
Jailing innocent people is illegal.

I have ask, can we start impeachment proceedings against this bastard now, or do we have to wait for him to be in office?

3. Desperate, Hypocritical or Both?
How about this gem
Governor Romney recognizes that we must be sensitive to both lives involved in these situations, the unborn child and the mother.

If you really believe what she carries is a life, why would you not imprison her, just as you would anyone who takes hires some one to kill another.

If you really believe in "being sensitive to the mother" it means letting her make the decision that is best for her and not interfering.

4. I'm Open to Jailing ALL the GOP
Just on the basis of the number of GOP office holders that have been convicted of crimes. I think I have the better case for incarceration by job definition!

5. Well of course he is...
If you allow abortions, there won't be enough kids to grow up and fight in their bogus wars....can't have women making their own decisions in such matters either...

17. I'd like to know who will pay for all their welfare, schooling, health care etc.?
They want all these babies to be born but refuse to help care for them when their families can't...and that's why most women have abortions. Romney is a hypocritical bastard and is just trying to push favor with the anti-abortion Christian groups. No one can change that much. The man's a liar! He either lied to us or he's lying to them. (or to himself)

6. Abortion is the "catch-all" for every election, and every GOP
wanna be pres/Senator/Congressman.

If they were serious about what they talk so much about, Roe v Wade would have been overturned during the R controlled congress' of the recent past. They will never act upon the issue because it is such a political hot button to get their knuckledraggers motivated.

Every cycle it is the same thing...scream about abortion and the horror; obfuscate the facts, (especially about late term abortions which are virtually non-existant); come up with some new twist on the nomenclatures involved, (ie, "partial birth abortion", what the heck is that?).

When they get a seat because of all of this hype and garbage, conveniently, all is forgotten because of other, "more pressing national matters". This has been going on for some 40 years, you'd think the RW'ers would figure it out.

This notion of jailing people for performing a legal procedure should make it clear that Romney is a tad closer to a dictator in the making than anything else.

7. He was for abortion before he was against abortion....
and he was for gay rights before he was against them.

He is the ultimate flip flopper.

15. You can say that again... Actual article from August 31, 1994:

His opinion seems to be based on whatever the popular opinion of the crowd he's trying to woo at the time is.

How the hell can Republicans fall for such phonies?

8. But if it is Hillary vs. Romney in 08, many will say there is "no difference"
Choice must not be very important to some here.

18. He's just trying to avoid being labelled "inflexible"
Repukes are known for liking candidates who are willing to compromise on the abortion issue. Some want to burn abortionists at the stake. Mitt is willing to consider jail as an alternative
