CNN: Now discussing the internet & the election season - internet BAD?

They're discussing the whole faked Kerry/Fonda photo. Then discussing how easy it is to fake photos...how the now-disproved Kerry-intern lie started on the internet?

Hmmm?

Most of us here depend on the internet to get our "real" news. Is this the opening barrage in a big media campaign to discredit the internet as a source of reliable news? It would be just like them to use a Dem-centered story to challenge the credibility/reliability of the internet as a news source.

How about this as a scenario - every time we bring up the AWOL or anything else we've learned via the net (including stories garnered from reliable foreign sources), the media/repigs will counter with "oh, right, the internet. Isn't that where all the faked Kerry stories came from? If you didn't believe the lies told on the internet about Kerry, why should I believe the lies being told on the internet about bush?"

Am I on to something here?

These people feel they have the power to make or break a person. I say lets get Mr. Bush Jr. out of the White House first. Then whoever is elected, put pressure on them to break up the media with pre 1996 FCC rules. The public owns the airwaves not corporations.

3. So who faked it?

Are we ever going to know "who" did this? Is Drudge, Hannity, Limbaugh going to apologize for believing and continuously posting and/or talking about these lies?

We need answers . . . and now.

I have yet to find one American news agency (on line that is) that has said anything about this photo being faked. BBC News, New Zealand News, and something out of Australia has printed the stories.

Kerry ignoring the stories I suppose is the best thing he can do; however, these are the same people who always claim it is the Democrats that are the dirty politicians and campaign organizers.

We need to know who and where. I would like to see Falwell on Crossfire and Carville ask him what he thought about the way someone in the Republican Party is playing dirty campaign.

These people are priceless. Wasn't it just a couple days ago that the Chairman for the RNC was out making a statement about how this election was going to be the dirtiest ran by the Democrats?

How can we as a group of 37,000+ who give a rat's ass keep the media's attention on the lies that someone, somewhere that is most likely associated with the Republican party continues to spread these lies.

Also, I'm going to email Sean Hannity and ask him when he is going to apologize for his constant barrage against Kerry regarding the allegations of the woman and now this photo that was faked. What about the other 2,999 of you?? Cannot email Limbaugh unless you join his 24/7 club. Before the drug allegations, anyone could email him, but not now. Also, HANNITY and colmes should get an email, don't you all agree?

Who else continually talked about this bull? I think as a group of people on one site, we should try to do something productive to get attention brought to these people and their lies.

Any ideas???????
