Draft Roy Moore!
Ahhh, former Injustice Moore such a wonderful man willing to do the left's dirty work. Read this, and then smile. Smile knowing that we could work together to pull the ultimate Trump Card on Bush. Do you hate Nader? Imagine the hate Republicans will feel if this man runs for President. He will FORCE Bush toward the right in order to keep his base, thus costing him swing voters. If Bush decides not to move further to the right Moore will steal his base. Imagine Pat Robertson giving him an endorsement that is nearly 1 Million Voters right there.

Bush will be forced to pander to the most extremist elements of the Republican Party or lose them. He'll be in a damned if he does and damned if he doesn't situation.

We need to capitalize on this man. We need to push him into Running for President. We need to Draft Roy Moore. Are you worried about Nader stealing votes away from Democrats? Never fear! For Roy Moore is here! Are you worried about a close election? Never Fear! For Roy Moore is here! Are you ready to show Bush the door by using a wonderful dirty trick? Then Draft Roy Moore because he will cost Bush this election hands down.

We need to find Roy Moore's e-mail address. We need to start a Draft Moore website if one does not already exist. We need to get these fundies a candidate that represents their most extreme points of view -- neutralizing the Bush Machine and his huge War Chest to make way for the Democratic Nominee.

3. Now is the time to strike.
Read this. Pryor was the guy who booted Moore off the Supreme Court. Bush just appointed him to the 11th Circuit. There has to be some bad blood there we can use against Bush.

Taking a quote from the above article:
"The president is on shaky ground with the hard right and is using this questionably legal and politically shabby technique to bolster himself," said Sen. Charles Schumer, D-NY, who voted against Pryor's nomination in committee.

4. Arnold Schwarzenegger should have proved to you that Republicons...
...forget hard feelings when election time comes around. If you think Moore will take the chance of costing Bush even one vote you are mistaken.

5. I don't think so.
He's hard headed and egotistic. He'd run just to prove a point to the Republicans, telling them that they've left their base behind. That they don't stand up for "true Christian Values". Besides if he does run Bush will have to unload some of his huge war chest on him, and that will help protect the Democratic Candidate against the onslaught of attacks.

On top of that if he doesn't run for President he is going to run for Senate or Governor, and if Bush ruins his name and Roy squanders his good will with conservatives he won't have a chance in hell of making it. (Therefore keeping him out of power.)

If he doesn't run against Bush he might be "bought" by the Bush campaign to energize the base and campaign for Bush. Which is worse?

21. Pryor and Moore are friends
Seriously,

so Pryor realized that a Federal Judges order had to be followed and did it. And Moore was expecting it the entire time so that he could play the victim of opression of his religious views and then run for office. Shit, he is out polling Sen. Shelby (R) among republicans in this state... But there is a bad blood, both people won. Pryor got to demonstrate that he is not a rightwing all the time guy (yeah right) and Moore got to play victim and profit from it. He is making a fortune of the replica 10 commandments that are sold (he copyrighted the monument so they have to pay him royalties.)

2. It all hinges on whether or not Moore can appeal his case
If he loses his appeal, he still has the Constitution Party's convention in June to launch his candidacy.

6. He won't win his appeal.
I think we should start a website, similar to the Draft Clark movement, to begin raising Money for Moore to challenge Bush for the Presidency. There has to be PLENTY of people on the far right to have a swelling grass roots organization.

7. I think it is very likely because of the Pryor appointment
Pryor was the guy in Alabama that pushed Moore to remove the monument. In effect, Moore sees Pryor as being a Bush lackey and not supporting his "Christian" ideals.

Moore will likely run on the Constitution Party ticket. If so, this opens up many doors for Democrats to win the highest percentage of votes in places like Alabama, Mississippi, and Georgia.

10. Exactly.
Like I said in an above post this is an unprecedented opportunity and we would be *insane* to pass it up. We can use the Pryor appointment to stroke Moore's anger against Bush. Bush will get hit from every conceivable angle – the right, the left, and the middle!

Hell! Think of it! Moore might actually pull some of Bush's base to the Constitution Party for good! Just like the Greens took part of the Democratic Base! This could cripple the Republicans for the foreseeable future if we play our cards right!

This guy is the fanatical Christian’s Rosa Parks – their hero!

13. I took a similar tack this morning, Meldread
and was met with the same derision by the usual suspects.

Look people, if it violates your sensibilities, don't give any money to the guy (despite the fact that Republicans are going to fund Ralph heavily).

Just go post on the Constitution Party's website and say how wonderful Judge Moore's candidacy would be.

Pretend you're flaming someone at FR.

(Wouldn't this be more effective by comparison?)

By Kommandant Rove's own numbers, something like 4 million fundies stayed home in 2000 because Bush wasn't conservative enough for them.

If Moore ran, and pulled out at the last minute, a lot of the people he attrcts stay home, just like 2000.

There is nothing to lose by supporting Moore's candidacy. Nothing.

11. That's what I'm afraid of.
That is why I say we try and draft him into the Presidential Election. That way he'll squander the good will of Republican Conservatives everywhere. He'd be 100 times worse than Nader!

Actually, I really don't have that much against Moore. I'm not gonna vote for him, but I gotta admire him for standing up for what he believes in, even though he knows the consequences. I think it'd be great if he could run against Bush. That would eliminate alot of the fundie vote right there

17. The only thing that would do more damage is if Fallwell or Robertson
went 3rd party. They have grassroots organizations even larger than the Consitution Party.

I mean why would they endorse Bush when they could endorse Moore -- he's a bigger hero to them than Bush.

22. Roy doesn't believe in the 10 commandments
He believes into running for Govenor or Senator (which he will win if he runs for it and I'll move to a civilized state like Mississippi) and into making a buck by selling replicas of his 10 Commandment statues,
he got elected to his position by running on a "Government is suppressing my religious freedom" platform and he is running for his next office based on the same methodology.

23. We are making plans to create a movement right now.
The Draft Clark Movement started with two people. The Draft Moore Movement will start with more. The plan is to get the Movement started then slowly "step out" of the movement giving control of it over to the fundies. We just need to get the ball rolling for them -- they just need a little "motivation".

Does anyone else want to help out? The "Moore" the better. Haha.

25. Haha!
It isn't that hard. I live in Virginia home base of BOTH Pat Robertson AND Jerry Falwell.

"We need a man like Roy Moore as our next President of the United States. We need a moral leader willing to stand up for the values that all Americans hold dear. We need a leader willing to battle for the heart and soul of our great nation. We need a leader who is willing to defend the moral foundations of our law. We need a leader like Roy Moore!"

Hahaha. Damn I should have been an actor.

It would be a great idea to draft Roy Moore. He would completely go for it too, the man has an ego as big as Nader's. And fundies love him!
