5. You had to have more than 4 to be banned
Edited on Sat Feb-21-04 01:06 PM by Feanorcurufinwe

What did I say? A lot of stuff that shouldn't have gotten deleted in the first place obviously, lol.

2. Had four removals, appealed three, got two reinstated.
I'm sure I would've won that fourth one, but then I said to hell with it. I was no where near my limit and the mods seemed to be overworked by DOS attack and the runaway nastiness. I mean, after all. It's only a discussion board.

11. Didn't even try
No use fighting. I was wrong in the way I made fun of those idiots. Just clicked the "I agree" button and got back into the mix.

13. won 2
and didn't appeal 8 reports. Was banned 24 hours after I received 7 or 8 alerts in ONE DAY! :grr: That was at the height of the Clark/Dean DU war.

I would also like to add this. I do not have one person on my ignore list and have alerted only one time while on DU. The only threads I hide are the locked ones. I like knowing what everyone thinks. I may not agree with them, but I still like to know what they have to say.

16. Never appealed any
Because I could see that all of my deletions were rule violations even if I did think that a few of them were overly arbitrary.

17. I don't waste my time with appeals
Those that want to squash our speech and thoughts have already accomplished their goals merely by threatening to delete posts that they don't like.

19. I was 1 for 2- Here's my story:
The first one I called Dean "insane" and (other things) and Skinner shot me down.

The second one I said that people who won't vote for the Dem in Nov. (ala Nader or Dean write-in or whatever) are nihilists/anarchists. Now I feel strongly about this view because I look at Nader enabling Bush to defeat Gore and all the ensuing damage to the world allowed by that and conclude that people who refuse to acknowledge that Gore was a better man and would not have done what Bush did simply don't care about the horrible consequences of having Bush in office.
IOW if you believe things have to get worse before they get better, well then I think the anarchy shoe fits.
I have actually said this before here and it is never well recieved, but looking at Iraq etc... I can only feel my arguement is reinforced.

BTW elad absolved me on this one.

21. I didn't even appeal
I asked what I did wrong and said I'm not even asking to be let back in. Elad wrote back, pointed out how I messed up, and suggested how I could avoid being in the same situation in the future. And he then let me back in.

The mods here have had a nightmare job. They've done a fantastic job and deserve appreciation for it.
