5. Has Hillary finally come around to support marriage rights for LGBTs?
The last time she spoke about it to an LGBT group, was behind closed doors, and she told them that she was "evolving" on the issue. Is she done evolving?

34. Evolving...
...before the election would lose her the election. Gay marriage is too much of a wedge issue. She can evolve when we have a democratic president in the White House. She'll give a new and positive meaning the the term "flip flop"!!

(versus recent less gay-friendly actions by candidates).

And things will get even better for "the gays" during Hillary's presidency.

She doesn't support marriage equality, and her husband signed DOMA into law.

10. I'm holding out hope that we will get a change ........
with whoever the next President is (on the Democratic side, of course).

We, as a society, are just so much more ready for proper positive changes for the LGBT community now compared to back when DOMA passed. Bill had lots and lots of gays in his administration which is an action that certainly spoke well to me.

29. I don't think they do
When we chose the people to run for delegate for Dean we were given no quotas at all which really surprised me. We had to pick two delegates and two alternates. We wound up OK male female wise but no other way.

32. It's up to each state
Some states will have an actual number and others must show what steps they'll take to make sure the traditionally underrepresented groups are included.

Has Illinois elected delegates? And how can delegates be picked before the primary? Delegates are only awarded after the primary.

22. On her own website

Mayberry compares gay people to thieves.

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2004/03/14/MNGJB5KB9N1.DTL&type=printable

Like most religious opponents of same-sex marriage, the Rev. Harold Mayberry, pastor of the First African Methodist Church in Oakland, has preached against homosexuality to his congregation of 2,800.

However, he does not think a federal amendment is necessary. The scriptures direct people how to lead a moral life, he said.

"I'm comfortable in what I believe in," Mayberry said. "I'm not rejecting people. As God loves, we love. I don't reject thieves, I reject thievery."

23. "More than 60 Ministers and Community Leaders Meet to Discuss Urban Policy Issues"
He was one of 60. Was this a fundraiser? Now if you want to diss her for trying to tackle Urban Policy Issues , go right ahead. Did he discuss Homosexuality at this meeting? Did Hillary give him a platform to discuss Homosexual issues. Did Hillary even organize this meeting? No to all of those questions. But we know who can answer yes to all of those questions.

26. More specifically
No, he talks about issues other than homophobia, but he is still strongly antigay.

http://www.democraticwarrior.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27454

Well, then why does Hillary have Mayberry's endorsement prominently displayed on her campaign website -

"Senator Clinton has an excellent concept about how she plans to address issues surrounding crime and education. She described how she has partnered with leaders in New York to create a charter school specifically for African American men and notes that the Allen Cathedral AME Church charter school in Jamaica Queens, New York could be used as a model of how to help educate African American young men. Her mentioning of the school shows that she's aware of outstanding successful examples of education in this country. The way she addressed the need for the federal government to partner with inner cities suggests that she's not just focusing on international issues but that she's concerned with domestic ones - particularly crime and violence in our communities. I want a president who knows how to strike a balance between addressing international and domestic challenges facing this country," said Reverend Dr. Harold R. Mayberry, Senior Pastor of First African Methodist Episcopal Church and Chairperson of Network for Interfaith Action.

31. How is it hiding?
You want to open this can of worms go right ahead, I'm not going to let you off the hook.

Fact, Hillary did not organize the event , Obama did.
Fact, Hillary was not at a find raiser, it was a fund raiser for Obama.
Fact, Hillary did not invite him, Obama did invite Donnie.
Fact, Hillary did not pick the speakers, Obama made Donnie the emcee.

Now if Obama had been at a Urban Policy event where he Donnie endorsed Obama and Obama put it on his website it would have been a non issue, but that wasn't the case.

Obama was playing to a specific audience at the expense of the GLBT community.

Now chew on that for awhile. We are all waiting to see what you come up with next.
