The usual pattern when it comes to most American's perspective on discussing Cuba from the Chi Trib guy.

Didja notice the short vid they showed of Cuba's cars? All of the focus was on the old 50's American cars, meanwhile moving on the streets in the background are, by a vast majority, newer small fuel efficient French, Italian, & Asian cars.

Typical tunnel vision blocking the reality of Cuba.

7. did you see how c-span seperated the lines??? for embargo/against embargo

in order to make it look like 50/50...when if they did the USUAL REPUKES/DEMOCRATS/INDEPENDENTS...THEY WOULD GET A MOUTHFULL OF ANTI EMBARGO!..i tried to call to say that..but all lines are busy!... :grr:

Obama wants to open things up, whereas Clinton is a dinosaur on this issue.

5. Obama doesn't really espouse 'opening things up'.

His platform states that he favors relaxing the travel restrictions on Cubans (expats and exiles) living in the US. That's it. He doesn't endorse ending these restrictions placed on Americans, just exiles. He doesn't endorse ending the trade sanctions without placing conditions on them (y'know.. the usual 'Cuba must democratize and turn to capitalism' line).
