16. Not true. Biden and Dodd were born during WWII.
Biden - 1942

Dodd - 1944

Making them, by definition, not baby boomers.

11. Maybe because they love one another?
I could give you several instances from my own family where there was a large age gap.

22. Why do I have to have a "point?" The thread is about AGE.
I made a comment about the ages of others in his family, both of whom are in public life (his daughter is a reporter for The Hill). Here's another factoid: They look alike, if you didn't know better, you would think they were sisters.

"Defensive" much? Starting off with the dramatic

SO?????

I didn't start off MY post, above, with a dramatic

Ah HA!!!!!!!

now, did I?

Where do you get any suggestion that I think his bride is "using him" from that comment about age?

To answer your question, I don't know why they're together. I'm not a fly on their wall and do not care to be. For all I know, he might be looking for a nursemaid in his later years, and maybe she's batshit crazy. I have NO sense of their "why," and I really could care why--it's no skin off my nose, in any event.

She's rich, too--her family is NOT without resources, FWIW--if anyone's doing any 'using' it's him.

But hey, whatever.

Take a chill pill, there.

You get awfullly excitable over nothing.

Do you react in similar fashion over things that matter?

25. ok so you point out something then end with a .........
meaning for us to draw our own conclusions and since you compared his wifes age with his daughters you are obviously tryinig to draw our own twisted conclusions for ourselves. I am being defensive because you have made similar statements in the past and I don't mind challenging you because you do not make a point, you just try to slander.

Yeah and like a beautifull intelligent independatly wealthy women would let herself be used as a tool is very ignorant. I just think it is is funny because your post does exactly that it leaves the reader having to make their own assumptions based upon your comments.

30. The OP starts out with AGE. Should I "draw a conclusion" from that???
Please.

Stop over-analyzing. You aren't very good at it.

Reread your post. It's says more about YOUR rather 'curious' mindset than you realize.

Who said anything about "twisted conclusions"-- save you?

Show me my "similar statements in the past."

Put up or shut up. That broad-brush crap doesn't cut it.

I stated a few facts, and YOU'RE the one drawing a bit of inference here, and then blaming ME because your mind is working the way it is.

Sorry, that's all on YOU.

YOU.

And who DECLARED that a beautifull intelligent independatly wealthy women would let herself be used <'i>--again, that's YOU saying that. I said I had no idea what drew them together. You seem to know it all, though. Or alternatively, you know the "why not" of it all quite conclusively.

Again, stop ASS-uming. You're not aquitting yourself very well, to put it kindly.

31. alright speak your peace
what were you reffering to when you wanted to point out that his wife and his daughter (neither of whom had anything to do with the original post) were close to the same age. because if you want to point out the obvious all of us can do that all day.

32. If you bothered to read my posts, instead of setting your little phasers to auto-offense, you'd
KNOW what I was referring to.

The OP was about age. My posts were about age.

Your posts--yours, not mine-- alluded to "twisted" aspects that came straight out of YOUR MIND.

These things you say are OBVIOUS are 'obvious' only to you, there, "Twisty."

Get over yourself. Put the shovel down, stop digging. I really don't want to know much more about how your little mind works, frankly.

13. Healthy diet
vegans have to be careful on what they eat in order to stay healthy--and it is obvious that Dennis is healthy. If memory serves, he had bleeding ulcers in his 30s, and he was born with a heart murmur (which made him 1Y for Viet Nam), so he's probably always been careful with his health.

I'd love to go straight vegan but it ain't in the cards for me......

I do think raw food gives one a lot of energy...

I think he is also energized by what he is doing(politically, spiritually, etc).

Go Dennis...always did love those Libras.

He was in the Marines and looks pretty in shape for a guy in his 60s. I suspect he maintained some kind of exercise regimen.

obvious. My impression was based off seeing him answering some question on CNN or MSNBC -- just a clip. I liked what he had to say and suggested to the Biden group -- wouldn't Webb make a great, YOUNG VP? I was set straight right away! :7

24. Wife Number Five--that multiple marriage keeps 'em young, I guess.
Webb would have trouble being a Vietnam Vet in his forties.

And if you knew him when he was forty, you would say he's aged a good deal.

10. Clevelanders are well aware of how old he is.
He was just under 30 when elected mayor...and that was the late '70s. (People used to call him "the boy mayor.")

Time passes quickly.

I am in my 40s now. I was but a teenager then.

26. Really?
I wouldn't have guessed that, either.

Sharpton shows the gray, Edwards doesn't. It's amazing what gray hair does for image.

I suspect that the pricey haircuts include more than scissors.

I'm also sure that Edwards is not the only one, of course.

My students always think I'm older than I am, and the girls in particular are constantly begging me to dye my hair. I keep telling them that I like gray, that my gray hairs are symbols of the wisdom I've gained with age and experience.

They don't get why any female my age (47) would not want to hide the gray.
