Dick Morris thinks Hillary might choose Bill Richardson for VP
Edited on Sat Nov-17-07 12:27 AM by _Wayne_
snip

The debate also had a pro-Hillary bias in the amount of time allocated to Bill Richardson — who had the third longest face time in the debate. Since Richardson is auditioning for Vice President on Hillary's ticket, using his time to plead for unity among Democrats (i.e. don't bash Hillary), giving him the mike was the same as giving it to Hillary.

Dick's a douche (he can't even spell the slang word for microphone "mic" correctly), but he's right. Hillary will choose Wesley Clark or Bill Richardson. I hope she chooses Clark.

23. What I'm referring to isn't about "dirt"--it's just pure politics...however,
I am aware of the dirt....

2. Dick Morris
can go suck toes. He's been wrong about everything. Why should he be right about this.

She hasn't even won the nomination yet.

3. Hillary will pick Richardson
it's no secret Richardson's running for VP. I know people that contributed the max to Richardson and were told he really is running for VP by the people raising money for Richardson.

8. Same here because

Richardson will not only lock down the Hispanic vote, he'll greatly increase the HIspanic turnout. The ticket with Richardson on it will pull at least 85% of the Hispanic vote.

And Richardson's a good man.

9. I don't see that happening.. I have no clue who she might chose,
but I really don't see it as Richardson. There's another name floating out there that I think is a much better bet. Webb of Va. I don't know of any Dems that don't like him, and many Pubs do as well, AND he'[s from what's considered a "southern state". Jim is very goos on DOD policy, and although I think Biden is MUCH BETTER, I think they're looking to Joe for Sec. of State!

12. and Webb's a helluva fighter
which we need too. The prez candidate can rise above the fray and Webb can kick everyone's asses, which he does very well.

21. Webb? No WAY. Five wives. Hot, HOT temper. Brand new.
A former Republican who worked for RR as SECNAV.

No, no, NO. Never happen.

Believe me--Webb is a good Senator, I am pleased he got elected. VA seems to like former SECNAVs in the Senate representing them, no doubt due to the Norfolk influence, to say nothing of the number of Pentagon/Navy Yard workers who live in the north. But he gave a few speeches back in the day that showed him to be quite the neanderthal on women's issues. He's recanted since then, but that, and all the shit I mentioned in the subject line, is a major Achille's heel for him.

It's a poor fit. She'd go Bayh if she wanted that 'conservative Dem' style.

4. She'll chose somebody like Bayh
Richardson has said many times he would rather finish his last 3 years as governor than take that #2 spot.

I have to agree with him. He'd be totally wasted in the VP spot. Now if she were to offer him Secretary of State, that might tempt him. He's one of the few people who has the ability to clean up the mess the neocons have made at the State Department.

6. He's not a good debater, and has taken some pretty far-left positions
in relation to Hillary, so I don't think so. She needs someone more right-wingy.

7. hmm, will he be in a position to let the voting machines be scrubbed
before any requested recounts are done? Seems like a slippery slope, but then, that's America post 9-11

20. Well, since Toe Boy and Faux say so, that makes it less likely.
Assuming the Senator won the nomination and the election, I'd put him in the running for either SEC STATE or UN AMBASSADOR, myself.
