1. Corporate media
Where did you get the idea that "nobody" thinks he can win?

Corporate media. See how that works?

2. Obviously, because DU is not representative of America -
we're all a bunch of woo-woo leftists with no sense of the real world which actually loves Hillary.

3. Because a DU fundraiser where you trade money for votes isn't an indicator of the mood of the party?

14. Money for votes
Isn't that like very old England under the King? What Constitution is the attitude of our Supremes.

We certainly can't wait for them to put us into "unending debt and war" since our money has almost run out. It's time for a new administration who will pay it off while they walk away with all the money. Whose fooling who? It's robbery of trillions from our country in just six years. "Change of face law" is what we have in our Congress as every corrupt representative leaves in shame (and his pocket full). Since Tom Delay and Libby aren't in jail we can assume the criminal activity is on every level of our society.

Dennis tells what the American people feel about our country right now. The others can't even say what we want. It's like ah...if I don't mention it they might forget about NAFTA, debt, loss of our borders, treason by our leaders, corruption they promised to address, privatization(stealing) of our resources, etc.

5. It's the media's perception of him.
Not enough Democrats outside DU have the attention span learn anything about the man or his policies outside of what is said of him in the MSM.

9. I gotta say that with all of Dennis's 5 + minutes last nite, he was the best...
debater on that stage... No one could match him in what he believes (in conjunction with the American people) and no one other than Obama matched him on his Anti war stance.... He should be the next President of these United States...

8. Its simple
I've watched Dennis since his days of being Mayor of Cleveland (where the current senior Senator from Ohio ran him out of town on a rail). While i much admire him - he would not get elected dog cather in Ohio let alone the US as a whole.

His strong voice is welcome and wanted - but he would never be elected to the highest office in the land.

10. "would not get elected dog-catcher in Ohio"
and yet, somehow, he was elected to congress. Repeatedly.

Maybe not so simple as you think.

19. Aside from a mediocre record as a mayor and in congress, he was anti-abortion
until he decided to run for president. Kucinich is a great representative for Ohio. The idea of him as a seious candidate for president has always been a joke to me.

21. Hillary doesn't factor into my opinion of Kucinich....I knew he was a fucking headcase when he
was elected mayor of Cincinatti in 1977. What a joke. He should be thrilled voters have forgiven him and allow him to suck on the government teat again as a congressman. He's WAY lucky.

I don't particularly care for Hillary Clinton, though unlike some snotnoses here I will vote for her because I'm a Democrat and I'm sick of Republicans running my government. But that has nothing to do with the lack of respect I have for Dennis Kucinich. He is a pathetic excuse of a progressive who has about as much chance of winning a primary as I do. And I deserve it more.

So please enlighten us on what John Edwards brings to the forefront that warrants anyone voting for him!

23. Because I have followed his career, respect his judgement, like his voting record
and believe in his electablilty. I also have a great deal of respect for Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Bill Richardson and Joe Biden. I'm a Democrat, I tend to like my party's candidates.

Many posters here are Democrats who have open minds and can be argued with. However, you appear to have already decided the end of the story before it even begins. I don't owe you an explanation and I don't give a shit who you vote for. Having read a few of your threads, I'm confident your contributions aren't essential to the success of our party in 2008.

big guy... I'm also confident that your opinion has nothing to do with reality.... You obviously have your opinion and so be it... But there are other opinions outside of yours... Not sure where you have gotten your info. on Dennis, but it certainly would be nice to see some backup to your posts about his record... have not seen any of that from you yet......

26. You say I've turned you on.....well, no good deed goes unpunished!
And I shall indeed vote for Edwards in the Mississippi primary, unless I change my mind and vote for Clinton, Obama, Richardson or Biden. I'm one of those wild theorists who just likes Democrats in general.

The "Kuch" however leaves me cold. I was very impressed way back in 1977 when he was first elected mayor in Cincinnati (I was 23 and still very excited by politics). I thought he was potentially a major player at the age of 32 and I followed his very brief career closely back then. I was wrong, way wrong. He was such a disaster as mayor it was over 10 years before he dared run for another office (congress), and since then has had an inconsistent record on progressive issues. I don't dislike Kucinich, I'm simply not as impressed with him as are many of the younger posters here. I remember real Democratic liberals like Frank Church, Birch Bayh, Gaylord Nelson and George McGovern who make him look like a piker.

Thats just the perspective of one aging gay southern man. Feel free to disregard.

At least you admitted I turned you on......

28. Hey, there's been a lot of marijuana under the bridge since 1977.....
If you know what I mean. Okay, I admit, I mis-remembered the city in Ohio he won election in and forgot to fact-check. Thank God I'm not on the ballot in Iowa. I'd be dead meat. Regardless, Kucinich was a shitty mayor WHEREVER he served and hasn't impressed me as a congressman.

Pros and cons for all the primary Dems, however, if all of them where in a race to the core party values finsh line, Kooch could go backwards at 60mph for about a day and a half and still be 2 blocks ahead of all the rest of them.
