Did Rupert Murdoch hold a fund-raiser for Hillary Clinton?
Ed Schultz said, he did. Should we be concerned?

1. In 2006, Murdoch held a fundraiser for her Senate re-election.

6. Chris Matthews said he doubted that Rupert would give money to Hillary
So, I have my doubts that Murdoch held a fund-raiser for Hillary.

9. Since you posted a similar thread in August....
Perhaps you should check to see if your pants have spontaneously combusted if you wish to continue to feign ignorance.

32. Murdoch backed both Hillary and Guiliani - and look at who is ahead in the polls!
Money talks!

They want to see Rudy clean Hillary's clock nect fall.
They've been itching it for it since 2000.

Rudy was going to run for the Senate seat in New York back in 2000, but then he got cancer and dropped out of that race.

They want to see the Rudy-Hillary matchup.

Rupert Murdoch Loves Hillary Clinton

(CBS) To call them a political odd couple would be a rash understatement.

Conservative media mogul Rupert Murdoch will host a fundraiser for liberal New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, the Financial Times reports.

The mating ritual of the unlikely allies has been under way for months. Clinton set political tongues to wagging last month by attending a Washington party celebrating the 10th anniversary of Fox News, the cable news channel owned by Murdoch.

......

Clinton, who made her debut in the Senate Armed Services Committee four years ago, has never voted against any major Iraq military spending legislation. She has also taken two high-profile trips to Iraq – journeys that may have helped to strengthen the credentials of a senator with no military background or experience.

Don't anyone pretend they don't know what she is.

23. You are right
Yet the developing relationship between Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Murdoch — who has built an empire in part on the strength of media outlets like Fox News and The New York Post that delight in skewering the Clintons — has drawn special attention, perplexing some political analysts and infuriating some liberals already suspicious of Mrs. Clinton's centrist positioning. Although she is ostensibly raising money for her re-election to the Senate this year, she is widely considered to be laying the groundwork for a presidential bid in 2008.

16. She's what BARBARA BOXER IS!!! See post 15. Oh, and your assertion is blatantly FALSE.
You give us a cite, that is contemporaneous with her SENATE REELECTION race, that flat out says this:

The fundraiser will take place in July, the newspaper said. Clinton is the frontrunner for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination, though she has not indicated whether or not she will run.

Sorry there, Dick Morris--you can't RAISE MONEY for a Presidential bid before you indicate INTENT to run, and at least file your exploratory papers, or declare and set up your campaign.

But hey, don't let those pesky facts bother you, now!!! Keep making shit up...it makes life so much more interesting around here. It also makes you look a little less "credible" every time you do that sort of thing.

Go on, make something up about Obama or Edwards, or Biden maybe...just to stir the pot, whydoncha?

15. Let's GET Barbara BOXER and John CONYERS, too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oooooooooooooh....they're gonna GET IT, now!!! Release the HOUNDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It may be that Mr. Murdoch is merely serving his company's financial interests. News Corp. is an international company that includes Internet businesses, a movie studio, and broadcast and satellite television networks - all subject to regulation in Washington. It can't hurt to have a friend in the Senate.

Federal Election records show that the News America Holdings Inc.-Fox Political Action Committee has supported a number of Democrats over the years, including $13,500 to Rep. Howard Berman of California,$4,000 to Senator Boxer of California, $4,500 to Rep. John Conyers of Michigan, $46,000 to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, and $5,000 to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. Rep. John Dingell, a Democrat of Michigan, got $7,500 from the political action committee. Rep. Edward Markey, the top Democrat on the House subcommittee on telecommunications and the Internet, collected $15,000. Left-wing Democrats such as Nancy Pelosi, Jerrold Nadler, Senator Kennedy, Charles Rangel, and Senator Reid have all benefited from the largesse of this political action committee. Senator Schumer has taken $6,000. Rep. Edward Towns, a New York Democrat, took $9,000.

In that context, the support for Mrs. Clinton is just part of a pattern of Mr. Murdoch - and his more Democrat-leaning fellow executive, Peter Chernin - trying to prevent their profitable business from becoming a target of a Congress that all too often is hostile to profitable businesses.

Because his business is located in NEW YORK, he makes sure that he spreads a little of that charity at home, you see....

24. Did he host fundraisers for them?
Or just send checks?

There is a difference, it would be interesting to learn. Either way, it doesn't say anything good about any Democrat who would take money from him.

It's one of the litany of reasons I have for not supporting Hillary in the primaries. If you want change from the status quo, Hillary won't be your candidate.

ps. that's a damn good pic of her!
