Poll question: Does The 2008 Primary Seem Nastier Than The 2004 Primary?
I don't know. I'm a pretty calm, even-keeled sort of guy.

Sure, I like Obama and everything, but it's not like I'll take my ball and go home if he doesn't get the nomination. But I'm finding myself getting more and more agitated every passing week with the way the top candidates and their supporters carry themselves.

I don't remember it being this bad last time.

Do you think the acrimony and vitriol has gotten worse since then?

1. It's bad now, and it's gonna get worse...
I think more political operatives know about DU than last time, hence the uptick in nastiness. Just wait until the week before the Iowa caucuses - DU will look like Arlington Cemetery with all the tombstones sprouting up...;)

2. I dunno, it's hard for me to tell
When I had a dog in the race, it seemed like hell on earth because I was so invested. So I honestly don't know if it's worse, now.

3. I voted that it wasn't
But maybe I'm not as tuned in to DU as I was and I have less time. I'm a lot more involved in the campaign though, as I'm a regional coordinator for Kucinich. I just don't have time to post. As far as arguing on DU, I don't have the energy.

4. It's probably the same - I just don't have a candidate I'm in love with this time n/t

5. Dunno
It is pretty bad but it was then too. We have more time now to kill each other so maybe that is why it seems worse. The wars last time around were pretty nasty. This time I am trying to stay out of most of it but I do read it and boy, it is going to be a very long year.

6. I don't know if it's worse, but...

7. I think it's worse.
Of course, that could be because I wasn't around here during 2004's primary...I joined in March of that year (different account that I can't find the password to).
