Re debates, should we be lauding JRE for giving Ku and Sh more attention?
Yesterday people argued that Edwards asking for more debates was unfair to Sharpton and Kucinich because it shut them down. Well, the opposite has happened: Edwards has agreed to more debate which include Ku and Sharp. They wouldn't have this extra opportunity to talk if Edwards hadn't asked for more debates.

So, according to yesterday's logic, Edwards is a hero. He's helping these two to get their messages out. I think everyone who criticized him yesterday should laud him today.

2. If Edwards can make the media be fair, KUDOS.
Last debate: Kerry answers 18 questions
Edwards answers 16 questions
Kucinich answers 8 questions.

He should demand EQUAL TIME for all the candidates, with the time adjusted at the half way point. Then it might START to be fair. Of course, they can always pull a Koppel, and just ask horse-race questions.:grr:

If memory serves.

6. Sorry, didn't mean to belittle the very real thing Edwards has done here.
We DO appreciate it.
Time to get off DU and take care of my swollen legs. Guess I am totally cross and out of sorts.

I apologize.

He's the only Democratic candidate with a vicious attack dog campaigning for him!

8. It should never
have been an issue in the first place. No kudos, he is acting appropriately.

10. Perhaps so
But 9 out of 10 pols would likely be squalling "mine all mine!", especially if they want to take a bite out of Kerry's ass as badly as Edwards wants to.

He could make the debates 2-man at his insistence, if Kerry didn't object. I give him big props for not doing so, it's a generous gesture.

9. Say what you may about him, he's got character and a moral compass
This guy's been struggling in the back of the pack for a very long time, and he's still kept playing a decent and honorable fight. Personally, if anyone had deliberately lied about me the way Clark did and then dodged a direct rebuttal, I'd have slammed his character from here to the damned horse rode in on. He didn't because he's got finesse, self-control, good politickin' instincts and core morals that inform his actions. Yes, folks: he's someone who's truly a politician and truly honorable.

With inclusiveness a hallmark of his approach, and acceptance part of his nature, it's not just social grease; the guy's a truly decent chap.

It's last chance gulch, folks; High Noon is in eleven days. The choice is undeniable now: it's either going to be Edwards or Kerry, and we owe it to ourselves to make the choice we feel best.

Oh...and don't ya just want to see him debate Junior? Oh please, oh please oh please...
