Even if he can be long winded. He's cutting his answers short tonight.

Go Biden Go! Where can we put him on the ticket?

1. Agreed. I am still enjoying his line on Giuliani -- that his sentences are
comprised of a noun, a verb, and 9/11.

THAT is a keeper!

4. The line from his father was wonderful
"Don't tell me what your values are. Show me your budget, and I'll tell you what your values are."

5. Whomever wins the nomination assuming it isn't Biden
Would be making a hge mistake not putting him on the ticket as VP. If anything I think he showed he needs to be there.

6. I think Biden did the best.
He was great. And his protests in the beginning of the debate, helped to take the focus off stupid issues and focus on what really matters.

7. At the top
Anywhere but the top of the ticket would be at best a lateral move for him and does us or the country no good what so ever. If he is not at the top his holding a senate seat serves us better. We need all the Democrats in the senate we can get. Just in case we don't win the top spot.

13. Good thinking.
I think a lot of the candidates will end up in the cabinet and we really need them in the senate! That's a bummer. But maybe the winner will pick a whole different crew.

12. I'm not a Biden guy, but
sometimes I think he'd be the Repugs' worst nightmare. He'd be damn difficult to smear or swiftboat, and he takes shit from no one.

14. That sums it up beautifully
The republicans DON'T want to run against Biden and they certainly don't want to debate him.

18. "Biden, the republicans worst nightmare"
you nailed it

--Q:why do you think all the republican shills were on CNN immediately after pumping up Hillary?

A:because she's their best hope of winning in 2008

16. Biden won tonight! I loved his tone and the tenor of his arguments. It was like listening
to a bunch of kids squabbling in the playground and then the big guy comes along and says, "OK, kids,
calm down. Here's what we need to do..."

My head is spinning from the recalculations going on in my head, post-debate.
Tonight I definitely eliminated Edwards as my candidate.
Biden - gained new respect for his knowledge and his ability to cut through the crap and be real.
Richardson's ok but... nah.
Hillary - same as before.
Obama - same as before.
Dodd I thought did extremely well. (Blew me away with his Spanish, out of nowhere!)
Kucinich was great in the 2/5ths of a second they allowed him to speak. I actually am still too furious over that to even be coherent.
If he doesn't get ulcers from these debates, it'll be a miracle.

17. I was watching with two teenagers...
...neither of whom get much exposure to politics. The 14-year-old girl (a product of pop culture) picked Biden. The 16-year-old boy, a pretty cynical kid, really liked Biden, too, but thought Hillary would be the next POTUS because she is a Politician. He was angry that Kucinich got so little time, having read the profile of Kucinich in recent Esquire magazine.

FWIW from naifs.

Biden made me extremely comfortable tonight. He exuded competence and reality. He talked in a way that I believe many different kinds of people can relate to. He was more like Bill Clinton than even Hillary is like Bill Clinton.

I am uncommitted, but Biden really won the evening, I think.
