He's got the brains and the vision we need. Enough of the "I got balls/I'm tough/I know how to win" candidates.

We need a Leader, not an expert on Washington politics in the WH.

13. You are right. Hillary will preside the book club, and we will be
so proud of her. Maybe President Obama will have a position for her in his cabinet. After all, Hillary is talented.

But then again thats the same term to use for Obamas performance this evening.

26. Post 18 was done on purpose. The only time Hillary got to be 44 in something
was when she had her 44th b-day. She won't be our next president.

8. Obama is not that leader
I'm sorry...but it's quite clear he is not ready for prime time. When I look onstage and see him, I don't see a President.

19. When it comes to fixing the mess Bush has made, we need an expert
Obama is a good candidate, but is he capable of fixing the enormous mess in Washington? At this point, it's important that we have somebody who can repair the damage.

20. I think a lot of people in this country would be comfortable with him
His general philosophies are fine, but I think he could do himself a favor in the primaries by laying off attacking Hillary so much and getting back to basics, the things that got him so popular to begin with. Obama does much better when he's acting like Barack Obama and not John Edwards. I think he fell for the media's trap of them wanting him to go after Hillary, and that kind of thing will only backfire for a nice guy like Obama.

22. Obama showed that he is not ready to lead our country.
He is not strong enough to be President. He is not ready to answer the tough questions or make the tough decisions. He is not knowledgeable enough nor the one to lead our country out of this mess.

Which makes me wonder if people are choosing Obama simply because he's attractive as a person.

what makes you think he would be any better as the leader of the U.S of A?

30. Obama is nowhere near ready to be President
I don't think he deserves to be up on the stage with the rest of them as anything more than a secondary candidate, like Al Sharpton or Gary Bauer. At least Al Sharpton was interesting, incisive and exciting. Obama is bland and triangulating, making sure to say little and even less of consequence. He: 'doesn't want to be President of red America, or blue America - he wants to be President of the United States of America'. That's the kind of vainglorious line I expect out of Republican blow-hards. I'm just not impressed with bumper-sticker soundbites.

He is AT LEAST twelve years and one or two major federal positions, ie Senate leadership or committee leadership positions and/or maybe Secretary of Something or other, PLUS some major fights against Republicans, away from having either earned or being ready to be President of the United States. I hope he gets there because I'd like to see him take a serious role in the Senate and then vote for him as VP, or possibly even President, in 2016.

Right now though, he's like some new kid at school that the other kids think is cool, but has nothing more than that he sometimes gives good speech. It's ridiculous that he's even under serious consideration at this point. As I said, I like the Dem primary process with alot of breadth, like now and 2004, but this Obama following is just cultish and a little silly.
