Clinton was on the rebound, and did a good job of coming back from the last debate. But she didn't have a flawless or phenomenal performance like in the past, and she had to work to repair some of the damage of last time. Obama seemed very careful and safe in his replies, and I was very disappointed in his performance. It wasn't a bad one, but not the kind of powerful performance he would need to move into the frontrunner spot. And Edwards seems so-so with some good answers, and some bad answers.

I think Richardson look a lot better in this debate. Kucinich wasn't that great to me, and Dodd also like Richardson did better. Biden, as always, impressed me.

All in all, good debate. Not as exciting or eventful as the last one though.

Don't think the top tier gained or lost any ground in this one. The race, in my opinion, remains the same!! It's a dead heat, and a damn good horse race for the top slot!

May the best candidate win...

2. Yes!! We need a Democrat in 2008.
And we happen to have an incredible field of candidates to choose from!

3. Yep. I agree. Top tier was flat.
I didn't think Richardson was as good as you did. Kucinich has been better.

Biden was the only one who raised his stock, IMO.

8. Really? I thought Richardson did well.
But this was a fairly so-so debate, so doing well in this one probably won't help you as much :)

12. When he starts talking... I just want him to stop as soon as possible.
The substance is pretty good, but the delivery is just not working.

It's kind of shallow, but he just doesn't seem to reach me.

4. The big news was no news. Any current flux in the top tier was frozen.

6. True. But they can make a difference. sometimes. Like last debate.
Which left voters questioning Clinton and her positions on issues, and put candidates like Edwards and Obama in the spotlight.

7. I think that time played a role....for example, in a 2 hour debate Edwards spoke for 10 minues.

Obama talked for almost 19 minutes and Hillary for almost 17 minutes.

9. I pretty much agree.
I thought Obama really blew the drivers license question, but other than that he was okay. Edwards had some good moments, but was facing an unfriendly crowd that clearly hurt him. Clinton was pretty solid. Biden was great.

I'd love to see an Edwards/Biden ticket.

10. Actually it did.
Edwards fell into a bottomless pit. To be the only candidate to get booed speaks volumes.

16. Are you deaf or just blinded by hillary-love?
Obama was booed too. Anyone who crossed hillary's path was booed.

Hell, they didn't even get a chance to finish their sentences!

19. I believe I explained myself in post #15.
Actually anyone who acted like an ass was booed. Even other candidates weighed in on the subject

21. Dedicated to John Edwards.
"You know I love you
Ill always love you
Even though the tears are fallin
From my eyes
I still remember baby when
Our love was so strong
So go on
Go ahead and kiss him
Go on and kiss him goodbye
Goodbye, whoa goodbye

He doesnt love you the way that I love you
Cause if he did he wouldnt go and break your heart
Hes only flirtin baby but my love is so strong
So go on, go ahead and kiss him
Go on and kiss him goodbye

Na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye
Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye

Hes never near you to comfort and cheer you
Even though the tears are fallin, fallin from your eyes
He might be thrillin baby but my love is ready and willin
So go on, go ahead and kiss him
Go ahead and kiss him, oo
Go ahead and kiss him, oo
Go on and kiss him goodbye
Goodbye, whoa goodbye
Bye bye bye, goodbye, whoa goodbye bye bye
Na na na na na na, na na na na na na
Na na na na na na, na na na na na na(repeat)
Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye(repeat)"

14. Unlike many DUers, I thought Biden's performance
was not up to snuff. He came across almost as a Gravel stand-in in his manner. I wasn't impressed by him tonight.

I really wish there was some pretence of giving the candidates equal time

17. Have to agree with you
It could have been more exciting, but as you said, I don't think there will be any movement on the top tier, and it will stay a tie in Iowa.
