2. No one lost the debate
Everyone came across fairly well.

Who won the debate?

Now that's a much tougher question.

7. Obama, sadly.
He simply was overshadowed, and seemed very bland and tip-toey with his responses.

11. Oh, here we go again..It was Edwards.. by far..
Obama's performance was forgivable. He tried. Edwards was and is a despicable human being..

Happy now, Kerry 2008- we're back to square one!

24. Obama's now clearly in over his head.
Total lack of substance. Admitting he missed the Kyle/Lieberman vote as a "mistake," well, that's a mistake he shouldn't have made and it costs him any credibility on that issue.

He made a statement at the time that he would have voted against it, and it passed 76-22, so his vote wouldn't have matter.

"Senator Obama clearly recognizes the serious threat posed by Iran. However, he does not agree with the president that the best way to counter that threat is to keep large numbers of troops in Iraq, and he does not think that now is the time for saber-rattling towards Iran. In fact, he thinks that our large troop presence in Iraq has served to strengthen Iran - not weaken it. He believes that diplomacy and economic pressure, such as the divestment bill that he has proposed, is the right way to pressure the Iranian regime. Accordingly, he would have opposed the Kyl-Lieberman amendment had he been able to vote today."

Not just because I hate him, either. He looked like an attack dog and people are sick of it. Obama stumbled but he had some good points, too.

20. I've been thinking about it.
Overall, Edwards wasn't bad. He messed up with the gender question. He also had some trouble in the China trade area. Other than that, he wa sstrong. He could have been a 2nd or 3rd place if he was a little smarter politically.

28. The first half of the debate
Was pretty much all bad for Edwards. He was snarky, got grilled on his positions and even booed. Then bitchslapped by Dennis.

He pulled himself together for the second half but did he gain any real support with this performance? I don't think so and that is really priority number one for him right now.

If you asked me who won the debate, removed from any political positioning and so forth, it was Biden. I believe he will pick up support because of this debate, and unless your name is Hillary Clinton, that was your job tonight. Hillary did her job by righting her ship. Obama failed because he came in riding some mojo but faltered and didn't impress. This should have been his moment to push through or past Hillary in some way and I didn't see that.

He stumbled badly on too many questions. He came off too strong, esp the gender question which should have been an easy soft ball.

Won't vote for them for sure. I liked Clinton, Biden, and Kucinich a lot, however.

30. Edwards and Obama
The idea was that Hillary was on the ropes. However they ended up getting the receiving end of haymakers, left hooks, and uppercuts courtesy of Clinton.

Any momentum gained from Russert's debate was totally lost and then some.

Edwards and Obama was expected to open up a can of whoop-ass, but instead got their asses whooped.
