1. Be prepared for a very dirty campaign.
Whether or not you're a Kerry supporter (and I'm not) he and we will have to be prepared for every possible bit of dirt to be thrown at him.

The unfortunate truth is that Kerry (and every other possible candidate) does have negatives, does have areas of weakness that can be exploited. The essential thing, in my opinion, is not to let the Republicans frame the debate, to hold Bush responsible for the jobs lost, the disastrous war, the complete collapse of our prestige abroad.

If the general election campaign simply becomes one of dealing with the mud-slinging, rather than framing the debate from the Democrat side, it may actually be difficult to win. I hope not. I hope the disgust for Bush and his policies that seems so pervasive right now continues, and serves to throw Bush and his cronies out of office.

3. Kerry's record is Pro-Labor.
The issue the GOP is emphasing through their shills in the media is NAFTA. Kerry said he voted for the bill in order to give America the best chance at competing globally. He has tried since its passage to amend provisions that allow US jobs -- and capital to offshore accounts in the Caymans and Switzerland.

The facts are Kerry has been thwarted in his efforts to correct the economic hardship and other problems created by NAFTA by the GOP-controlled Congress.

Trade is the least of what the Little Turd from Crawford and the GOP fear in a Kerry administration. JK knows who the crooks are and he and an honest Attorney General are coming to bust them. After mroe than 40 years, the BFEE is going down.

5. Ha ha. As if labor should embrace the anti-union George W. Bush.

If that will be the nature of their attacks, bring it on.
