Biden's birthday is coming up in a few days-
The challenge to his supporters was to raise 500k before Nov 16th & we did it!!

(I know this is just chump change in comparison - but very exciting to us Bidenites!)

How about we give Joe an extra special birthday present?

1. Card
I'll send him a card to thank him for voting in favor of the Iraq war. And for the bankruptcy bill that was written by the banking industry.

8. How about instead you
look at the big picture? and pay attention??? He has already apologized for voting to go to war, on false pretenses. then understand, the bankruptcy bill was going to pass anyway. Biden got it a bit under control. with putting your child support payments before your boat payment. when you go to use bankruptcy as a means to not pay your Debts.
learn something.

24. How Dare You
I am looking at the big picture AND paying attention.

I don't care if he apologized. I want a president with 20/20 foresight, not 20/20 hindsight. Over 20 senators had the same info he had and they voted no to the Iraq invasion.

Putting child support payments before boat payments? Where did you get that talking point from, Fox News? If YOU were paying attention you would know that over half of the bankruptcies in this country are the result of medical bills and job loss. I know. I had to declare bankruptcy myself after my late husband's cancer treatment costs topped $32,000. That was our portion AFTER Blue Cross paid its share.

Don't you dare sit there and say that people who declare bankruptcy are irresponsible slackers when over half of us had no other choice.

25. and my plight is two fold
Edited on Wed Nov-14-07 10:09 AM by Froward69
$250,000 for my fathers forced hospice care and medical bills. thats after the insurance company cheated him out of 40 years of insurance payments on a life insurance policy. convincing an 80 yo man he would die in an accident. oh and while were at it how about changing that long term care insurance to an accidental policy too? done. 10 years of payments there.GONE! He died of prostate cancer. two years of ebbing away in a Hospice bed. a natural death/

$250,000 just to keep my house. Dad co signed and Thus Joint tenant. It would be one thing if I actually got to spend that money on myself (medical bills, boat, college for my kid. etc) but no, I am behind the 8 ball from what the insurance comp did to us. and the forced Hospice part? he did not want to die in a hospice. (as he had seen that with friends) when he realized what happened, how they took advantage of him. he tried to kill himself to spare me from the Debt. The county he was in forced hospice care in the county facility. ( a reppuke bastion.) I could not take him home as I was "not upset at his motives nor his attempt" it was then assumed I "Would facilitate his death"!

The house was in Joint tenancy between he and I, Thus, part of his estate to plunder.

Bankruptcy is the last resort. I would qualify (under the new rules)if I chose to do it. I then would have to sell my home. the rules were changed to no longer allow people to run up a bill and skate. As too many had done already, (hiding their assets in other states country's etc.)

oh and where do I work? I am self employed A.K.A. UNEMPLOYED. Thats "How I dare" Damnit!

30. Were you able to declare bankruptcy and have your debt discharged
or did the new law prevent it?

This can be a positive place if people advocate for the candidate they support rather than tearing down those they don't. :hi: Just a thought.

2. A thanks to all who helped out! I remember when there was barely a kernel
at the bottom of that ear, and thinking it was such a LONG WAY to go to reach the goal - could it be achieved?

But then those of you who gave him a listen, you began seeing what we entrenched Bidenites have believed since we gave him our support.

Beyond his obvious experience and expertise in foreign policy, despite his lauded long-time record in support of human rights, in addition to his willingness to tell it like it is and level with us, the common thread that has become more and more apparent to me is his integrity and goodness.

Thank you all again! :grouphug:

9. Well a plus of being a supporter of someone who's lacking in funds, is we're
so appreciative and get so excited about a relatively small amount of money! It's all relative.

When they first began the drive, Joe said $500k would be enough to get him through Iowa and NH. I'm relieved this is one less concern that will hanging over his head.

After Iowa and NH, we of course are positive the contributions will come FLOODING in! :7

The Scorpios are John Adams, Theodore Roosevelt, Warren Harding, James Polk, and James Garfield.

I have to confess, however, that I never voted for any of them! :silly:
