I'm not pointing fingers at any one person or group of persons.
We just have to realize that good Democrats are competing against each other for the role of party nominee. Whomever wins the Democratic nomination will be in a great position to win the White House. That's the bottom line, the prize, the holy grail of this election.
Anyone supporting one candidate will have the opportunity in GD-P to have her/his candidate lambasted here. We may each feel personally attacked (although that may or may not be the case) because our choice is not everyone's choice. We all become very passionate about our choice because we are pretty much passionate about politics or we wouldn't be here.
May I respectfully suggest we all remember that we want to beat the Republicans not each other. I think most DUers understand that once we have a nominee Democrats will unite behind that candidate. Sometimes it's hard to read all the threads - or even just the titles - here in GD-P and not feel a bit inflamed.
Read, study, listen, research the candidates. Don't believe everything and don't discount everything. Voting is really a tough thing to do when it's done right but it's one of the things Americans do pretty well.
I remember the 2004 primary days here at DU and I know many of you do, too. We survived and we will this time, too. And I'm confident there'll be a better outcome in November.
