1. California 50th. Brian ("the carpetbagger lobbyist") Bilbray.
Edited on Mon Nov-12-07 10:39 PM by Seabiscuit
But not thanks to my efforts. I worked for over a year on Francine Busby's campaign.

Francine did suprisingly well, and woke up the Democrats in this district who had previously been completely unorganized and disorganized, because Cunningham had a virtual lock on it ever since it was gerrymandered by Republicans for Republicans.

I still don't know for certain where Bilbray really lives, but I do know that prior to the '06 election he had never really lived in the 50th District. The home address he listed to get on the ballot was actually his mother's address. He had several other officially listed addresses, including one in Washington, D.C. What a phony Repuke POS.

...on the other hand, I wrote him about regulation of the airwaves-the fairness doctrine and such. His response was so full of 'free market' cheerleading, it could have easily been Ney responding.

It could have been Padgett, so I suppose I should be grateful. But all that recycled ReepSpeak sticks in my craw.

I used to like Lantos much, much more. Rumor has it, Jackie Speier is thinking of challenging him in the primary, in this district with a 25+ point Democratic advantage. She would be terrific.

Jackie Speier has an interesting story, just as Lantos does, she was shot by Jim Jones' thugs in Guyana along with our former congressman Leo Ryan while they were there investigating and inviting everyone at Jonestown to come back with them.
