Question for Edwards supporters and/or people familiar with the Iowa caucuses
My parents are interested in going to Iowa to help the Edwards campaign upto the Iowa caucuses. If the only thing they will be asked to do is phonebank, they'd rather stay in Michigan and do it from there. Is there a reason for Michiganders to go to Iowa? If so, what could they do there?

3. they could...
...babysit my kids, so Mr. cyberswede and I can both go to the caucus. :)

Seriously, phone banking would probably be the most efficient use of their time. It's not like a regular election day when people need rides to the polls and GOTV efforts are useful - it's a 2-hour event (or so).

Glad your folks are so willing to help! I concur that the best course would be to contact Edwards's staff in Iowa.

thx - cs

p.s. We have a babysitter - no way would we miss the caucus!

6. They can go, but can't vote.
I think it might be fun just to watch, but I'm weird. Oh - and some campaign chairs bring snacks!
