16. I'm enjoying a mental image of how someone like Giuliani must feel when
he listens to Biden on foreign policy and realizes that he is no match for Biden, and that were Biden to get the nod in Denver and Rudy in Minneapolis, there would come an autumn night, in a debate, when "America's mayor" would have to stand against Biden, against Biden's scope and range, against Biden's knowledge and poise, and against Biden's general sure-footedness.

What a long, embarrassing night that is going to be for Rudy Giuliani.

20. No kidding.
Biden is my #2 should something cause Edwards to drop out.

If not and John gets the nod, I only hope he considers this man for his Sec of State. I can't imagine a better one on foreign affairs.

He is brilliant.

22. Hi, Yael. You said it.
Giuliani (or any of the other Pukes for that matter) would have to flee the stage and duck out the back door.

Biden owns international affairs against any Puke they got.

37. Agree -- it's a strong field and it's growing more impressive as we move into
late autumn.

The best strategy for the Republican field right now would be for them to all blow their brains out.

That is, those who HAVE brains.

45. He said if we don't get things straight with the world
we can not work on what is so needed at home. The war in Iraq, the disrupting forces of our present admin. around the world must be fixed immediately. (My translation of his words) He said there would be a price to pay to get things back on track and he feels and believes Americans understand and are will to make the sacrifice.

I so agree. He's a man with a good plan.

I always consider myself a detriment and figure the less I post on a candidate the better for the campaign, lol. I'm truly open to anybody who can sort of step over the cesspool of the last 20 years, but not compromise on the really important issues. It's a fine line between concensus and concession.

That's part of what drew me to him to begin with. Felt like he was talking to
us person to person, rather than candidate to potential vote.

If you continue to observe him, I think he'll grow on you. It is always surprising to us Bidenites that he CONTINUES to keep impressing us and our esteem for him continues to grow.

Thank you for your post - makes me feel good! :)

53. After listening to all of the speeches, Biden is definitely still my choice
Edwards made me feel patriotic and inspired. Obama, really about the same as Edwards only with a different style and Obama was comparing his ideas to some of the other candidates and making it fairly clear who he was referring to, kinda liked that, not sure. At least you know where he stands. Dodd speaks to me.

Bottom line, after mentally going over the evening, Biden was the candidate that didn't sound like he was giving a stump speech. He sounded like he was spouting what was on his mind. Of course he rehearsed, it's just that I feel like he is trying hard not to play games with his explaining his plans to get us out of the mess we are in. You didn't hear a lot of suck up kind of phrases, no people pleaser talk.
