Cedar Rapids, Ia. — Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in Iowa today unveiled a far-reaching plan aimed at reducing petroleum consumption and imports, while converting the nation's economy into one based on renewable fuels.

At a wind turbine manufacturing plant in Cedar Rapids, the New York senator laid out three major goals which she argued would also help curb global warming.

They are: Reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 80 percent from 1990 levels by 2050; reducing U.S. oil imports by two-thirds by 2030 and creating 5 million jobs related to clean energy over the next 10 years.

"I believe America is ready to take action, ready to break the bonds of the old energy economy and ready to prove that the climate crisis is also one of the greatest economic opportunities in the history of our country," Clinton said, according to remarks prepared for delivery at Clipper Windenergy on Cedar Rapids' industrial south side.

1. Good Ideas, but she needs to show what she's going to do in the short term.

There is no way she can predict what will happen in 2050, or even 2030.

3. She's in the Senate now...has she sponsored any bills furthering
any of these goals?

Serious question, not a snark.

6. Are those plans or goals (serious question)?
Your link doesn't work, and I don't see anything but goals in your post.

Sorry about the link, no idea why it disappeared.
