1. sniffa, you're doing to women exactly what you complain about
when it's done to gay people.

You're triviliazing coded language and sexism, because you hate Hillary so much.

Hate her because you think she's a rightwinger, and you disagree with all her views, but don't add fuel to the fire of those who would try to diminish the importance of misogyny.

You're, in a snide way, telling people to "get over it."

Very uncool.

23. I won't hesitate for a second to tell you to "GET OVER" the witch thing
It's a stupid Red Herring that you are trying to turn into an actual scandal. It completely laughable.

28. Who's trying to turn it into a scandal?
it's a discussion on a political discussion board. It's a cultural issue and one of the leading presidential candidates was in the skit. It's perfectly appropriate to dissect its meaning and what it symbolizes.

34. You going to tell me that there was a concerted effort to make this a much bigger deal then it was?
That dog just isn't going to hunt. 10 threads popped up in a matter of minutes, and each of the thread starters were completely blind to reality. Self-Righteous, fake outrage was the order of the day.

36. You're truly full of shit
Do you think everyone here PM"s each other and tries to drum up a "scandal" about an event on television? You probably also think everyone on here is paid by a campaign. I can only speak for myself, but I found the language offensive and posted what I felt about it. If you don't like how others react to something, tough shit. No one is looking to you for permission before they react to something.

and they hung the alleged witch over it and if she was cut in half or killed by it she was then pronounced "Oops, not a witch, sorry".

19. the Inquisition started about the time of the end of 300 years of war, since so many widows owned
the best farm land they needed a way to legally 'take' it.. about this time doctors were graduating from the new universities.. no one wanted to go to them because of unsanitary procedures resulted in so many deaths for simple procedures

so people went to the local herbal healers, so the doctors bribed the authorities to declare the healers witches and kill them all off..

it became a mega profitable business for lawyers, jailers..etc etc, the church and gov and all the support industry,,totrturers..guards.etc

it became a hysteria market, many took advantage of it... same thing happened in salem

it wasn't till an entire city was executed ..except for the authorities holding all their property... did people get the guts to stand up to the industry

there is a wonderful documentary called 'the burning times' about it

26. Dude, you know I love you
But I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this whole thing.

I don't think this whole thing is scandalous to the point of the McChickenhead incident, nor do I think it should turn into a big campaign issue, but I guess it's the English major in me that is fascinated by language and how it's used.

Shit, my immature ass is all for name-calling. :P I just question why certain names are used, is all.
