Pakistan turmoil. Another reason why Biden is the best option
While, he was the first candidate that I am aware to not only acknowledge that country's turmoil as a reason why it is a bigger problem than Iran, his comments at the debate this week are obviously even more telling given the events of this weekend. Now talking about it doesn't in itself mean that he is the most qualifed, but his mentioning it during the Iran discussion the other day and how Presidential (and Congressional) actions have consquences (and specifically stated how the Iran resolution and W's rhetoric created negative real world consequences) were particularly prescient given the events in Pakistan this weekend. We need someone who grasp how all of the pieces affect each other and has the clarity and wisdom to best deal with it.

I have faith that Edwards, Clinton, Obama, Dodd etc would make sound decisions, but again, I feel like Biden is on a whole other level on these very critical matters and would not only manage these situations well, but better that region, our security and ultimately the world. I don't say that lightly and I don't mean that he has all of the answers. I feel confident that someone who isn't W or the neo-cons or an idiot like Rudy, would also actually consult relevant experts, but it certainly helps when the President is an expert too.

2. While other candidates are playing politics,
Biden has been showcasing the very serious issues that we face in the world today. During the debate he discussed the threats posed by Pakistan versus Iran, and then the pundits had a field day with UFO's.

3. Pakistan vs. UFOs
which is more news-worthy? The ineptitude of much of the media is really reaching a scary level. Just a tiny example: I just watched some 5 minutes of CNN, enough to hear Pakistan referred to as a "relatively small country". I kid you not! The context was something like "why should the US care about what is happening in a relatively small country half a world away?". FYI, just checked, Pakistan has a population of around 170 million.

4. Must be a slow Brittney news day!
And I suppose Pakistan has "relatively small nuclear weapons".
