around with his rationales, I still felt he was missing the point.

The last thing we need is a leader that cannot express what he means but has to do an editorial revision a day or two later.

I find it humorous that the GOP faithful thought they were getting another Reagan, (whiuch is what Thompson is w/o the "polish").

The only thing remarkable about him, is that he is profoundly unremarkable.
