Moran to Host Discussion on Iran

U.S. Rep. James P. Moran Jr. (D-Va.) will host a town hall meeting on U.S. foreign policy toward Iran on Tuesday.

The discussion will focus on reports that the Bush administration is considering using the military to prevent Iran from pursuing a nuclear power program, Moran's office said.

Panelists include Lee H. Hamilton, director of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, former co-chairman of the Iraq Study Group and the Sept. 11 commission and the former chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee; Lawrence Korb, senior fellow at the Center for American Progress and former assistant secretary of defense under President Ronald Reagan; and Danielle Pletka, vice president for foreign and defense policy studies at American Enterprise Institute.

The discussion will be from 7 to 9 p.m. in the theater of the George Washington Masonic National Memorial, 101 Callahan Dr., Alexandria.
