I'm curious - Is Free Republic having the same circular firing squad as DU?

(OK, I'm not THAT curious or I'd go see for myself.)

But for those of you who ARE familiar with them, do they have the same hysterical level of negativity, vitriol and feces-throwing among their candidates' backers as we do here? Or are they flinging their poo at the Democrats?

Because I'll say one thing - if it were my board I'd yank each and every purely negative or inflammatory post about a Democratic candidate and allow only those that express reasons to vote FOR them. Ditto with the posts railing about the Democratic leadership if they call for 'recalls', 'impeachments' or other extra-Constitutional or political impossibilities.

We have an EXCELLENT slate of candidates and each one of them has a compelling reason to support him or her. They each have his or her own set of deficiencies as well - but on balance I'd say any one of them is 100% better than what we've had for the last 6 years.

So debate - that's what we're here for. But I'd respectfully ask you to keep an eye on the big picture and keep the hysteria and hyperbole under control.

I'd still encourage poo-flinging at the GOP nimrods.

My eyes are getting bad and the graphic is the largest I could use as a signature graphic. When I made the pics smaller (to fit everyone in) they all looked like blobs. :) So after I resized my top 3, I just put the pics of the other candidates that fit the best. I shake my head in total despair, and I agree with Newt.... and Giuliani.

They are only two pols who clearly see and speak about the threat we're facing, and they do so directly and honestly.
